Went to help at Foodmarket this morning; came home, used up leftover spag bog then took Benny Bunny back to vets; no improvement at all, so he has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I've told DD (and cried) and mum (and cried).

His hutch needs cleaning out and he needs burying but I can't face that now.

    - Bed linen changed, 1 load of washing done and hanging on line.
    - Visited MIL.
    - Picked up a couple of things from Mr T.
    - sorted out some post and paperwork.
    - Went to a friend to drop off Mr N's old motorcycle suit for her son who has just got a bike; Mr N bought a new one last week in preparation for his 10 days in Spain with "the lads" i.e. 2 other pensioners, from Monday. That means I'm on visiting MIL duty, a bit nervous about that.- - Cancelled milk delivery for while Mr N is away.
    - Slow but steady progress in decluttering/deep cleaning kitchen. The cupboard under the sink has been emptied, cleaned and limited, essential cleaning stuff put back. 5 drawers have been emptied, cleaned inside and out and the contents rationalised. Today a juicer and some baking equipment went on Freecycle, some old baking tins went into recycling and a few chipped items were binned. It's all taking way longer than I thought, but I'm still determined.

Yesterday Mr N dropped in on our bereaved friend; her daughter arrives from Australia today. We've been notifying a few people for her and need to investigate locations for a wake.

Easy dinner this eve as a box of Indian for 2 was reduced in Mr T, so I'll join whoever said athletics and Strictly I expect! But first a bit more in the kitchen.

Narco - local schools might be looking for baking equipment, pans etc for mud kitchens!
Went to put Benny in the shed and spotted the perfect spot, so he's been buried. DD is gutted.

  • Poor rabbit. [hugs]

Himself came back from work and after enjoying my idea of savoury pierogi for lunch, he then dozed through much of the afternoon watching a film. Eventually dragged myself off the settee and, as he wasn't going to be doing it, vacuumed the whole house, including the stairs, whilst he whinged about getting something for tea (I wasn't about to be going out for it) and then having to cook it. It was very nice, though - burger, salad, cheese, onion & artichoke halves. I'm going to head out to the kitchen to see the mess he's made of it, sort it out, switch the WM on for his shirts and then do nowt else.

And I did knock the clean washing off the bannister before it got taken upstairs and put away (he did do his own stuff, though - and take the stuff off the clothes horse that had dried in the intervening period.)
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

and kale and carrot tops and groundsel...

I have a friend who cares for rescue rabbits... in the fullness of time I may well offer to take one or two off her hands. I have kept rabbits since I was a child and it was one of many things that my sister and I shared.

La la land is on, and I've wanted to see that since it came out but I need some familiar friends, so I don't need to think so Gavin and Stacey it is the TV equivalent of a fluffy dressing gown.

Went to Morries for a few bits and petrol; my tea cost me 10p. My freezer's full now...
