Feeling over whelmed over new house

If it is backing onto exterior walls and I couldn't put it on another wall, I'd personally go for a freestanding. It will potentially save you a lot of messing about with dehumidifiers, having to leave the doors open all the time etc.0 -
Oh thanks0

I left our sold house immaculate with a bottle of champagne and glasses for the new people..
Our new house welcomed us with a pile of coleslaw (!) in one kitchen cupboard and a recyling wheelie bin full of dog poo amongst other things Plus a skipload of rubbish from the garden. Not ideal and its quite upsetting but you get over it and things will improve.
You start to see the good things about the house and it will become yours in a really short period of time. I know a lot of people don't recommend Checkatrade but I found it quite useful as a starting point to find tradesmen as long as you do some more research on them.0 -
Yes very much! I now love my space! Well 50%, still a long way to go0

Glad for the follow up and pleased you're feeling more settled. My first house had raised flower beds and I thought no flowers because it was Winter; turned out to be a cat's lifetime of used cat litter banked up around the lawn. The ammonia was enough to revive any one fainting within a 5 mile radius! The flip side: we found Clarice Cliff and Suzy Cooper dinner sets in the back of the pantry. It turned out to be a very happy home.0

Gross! I just have a leaking roof/something in one room to deal with. Work mate says I should ask the previous owner, but I’m really not too keen as I think I’ll get ignored. Would be nice to know if she did anything, and my surveyor is an idiot.0
