Thanks everyone for your sympathies, I was/am very attached to him so it's hard. @themadvix he had a very loving home until my brother's split tbf, I had always thought my sil loved him, but she must have put up with him. @beanielou thank you, I will try. @Merlin's_Beard what makes a well adjusted dog? He's pretty chill if that counts?
Money hasn't gone well this week but I'm only giving myself until Monday to mope and spend, after that I will be strict with myself. I also need to work on my savings accounts this weekend and decide what I want to do.
Bought myself three pairs of jeans today for £35, which is great because I've been wearing a few where the thighs have been rubbed away. So I will cut them up, keep the useable material and throw the rest.
Also went around a Wilko and bought stuff I've wanted but was waiting to start a project or things I think will be useful. So I got a sock drying thing and wood dye and varnish remover, etc. I will be so sad when Wilko goes, it's always so useful. Between 3 of us we spent £105, so quite a lot but left a lot as well. I was considering more bathroom storage but didn't know if we could carry it all to the car. But I just remembered I'm out of cling film... DOH
We went into a charity shop and found someone had given away a whole collection of Pokémon plushies. Was honestly really shocked because you can sell them really easily. I didn't get any though, I've been making mine.

There are a lot of dogs in rescue because they are, to be blunt, challenging. If he can stay in a house by himself while you go to the shops, doesn't have a bite history, and can tolerate other dogs, then honestly he'll be fine.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Woody can stay home for hours and hours by himself without issue, he just chills out. He's doing well, he's currently living with another dog in the countryside somewhere and getting muddy.
I have a new trainee at work, seems nice but I'm still confused about who he's supposed to sit with. Different directors are saying different things.
Got myself a hardshell suitcase for my trip, £2 at a carboot. Pretty pleased because they're expensive and I don't need anything fancy. Only issue is that one of the three handles is broken.1 -
Had a severe migraine Friday. I hate taking time off during probation periods, hopefully it won't cause me too much issue. I'm still a bit dopey, I keep trying to clean, I have cleaned about a quarter of the kitchen, half of the kitchen floor, I don't know what % of the bathroom... Can't do a damn thing 100% but at least I'm doing something.
Went to the carboot at some point, got these pretty prints from John Lewis for £7. I also got this pom pom garland kit for £2 and when you look at the price new it's £30! Kits are crazy pricey! How do people spend that much?
Been looking at my NZ trip. Think we've nearly got the itinerary but gonna do a few different ones to see what's best.Hobbiton and glow worm caves, a park/lake, a couple of gold mine towns, potentially seeing penguins.
Money wise, I have no idea what's happening. I'm struggling to remember/type passwords so it'll have to wait.
Swapped crochet project because I don't want to mess up my jigglypuff so I'm making a massive unicorn... It's much more simple and only massive because I'm using blanket yarn.2 -
You have to wonder when someone gets a thing for £30 and sells it for £2 whether it was just an unwanted gift.... your gain either way!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that forgets passwords - after switching phones I've locked myself out of several nonvital bank accounts that need sorting at some point.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

I can only imagine that they didn't know that it's a fancy brand. Not that I knew, I just looked it up afterwards, it all appears to be hand dyed wool but I am not sure I like the feel of it (it was in a packet at purchase). Maybe they did the same thing?
Oh dear, hope you access then soon!
I'm boiling. My pain is better in the heat which is great but I'm also boiling.
I have decided I need to ensure I exercise on my WFH days. I meant to start yesterday but on Thursday some idiot kid decided to follow me home. It put me off but I will
Been watching season 2 of Digimon and I'm loving it. I don't think anyone will ever be able to rip this joy from my hands.
I have finance things to report but I'm too hot to think. Maybe tomorrow.2 -
