Been very busy this weekend. I have been to my friends to go charity shopping and wedding dress shopping. Yes another wedding, there are loads of the things at the moment.
Got some amazing buys in the shops up there. 2 pairs of work trousers for £5 total, a pair of hotter shoes (ones that I had before but had managed to ruin and I'm so delighted) for £7, a Ralph Lauren shirt for my sister £5, some DIY bits and a coat for £8! In fact, this coat was one that I wanted to buy a few years ago but couldn't afford to.
We were very successful as well with wedding shopping. I'm delighted.
I'm going to stop going into the charity shops for a while now, I need to sort through my shoes and clothes and finish my projects. The one exception is that I need a chest of drawers. I am stalking market place and the furniture charity shops.
Looking forward to next weekend because I really don't want to go to work! So much drama at the moment with people quitting and arguing. These are adults and yet it's like being at school again!3 -

I mainly go to smaller towns as bigger ones are too busy (despite working in one). I think that most people are still considerate and try to social distance still. It might be worth a try for you as well?
Met the new girl, she seems lovely! Made a slightly sarcastic comment on day one and I thought "I like her"
I now have three bridesmaid dresses and another on the way. Is it rude to sell them or give them away? Do I have to hold on to them forever?
Also! I now own £50k of my flat! And I'm getting very close to owning 25% of it (based on the original cost ignoring additional fees and works I've performed on the money pit) woo!4 -
Definitely ok to sell the dresses! Before Covid I was thinking about selling my wedding dress… not so sure I want to now though, even though I’m just as unlikely to wear it again!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I would definitely sell bridesmaids dresses.
Well done on your CS haul especially the much wanted coat. I Love vintage shopping and have found so many gorgeous one off items I wear a lot and have done it across the world,
I had a day in California once where the Vintage Goddesses definitely visited.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@themadvix you might be able to reuse your dress somehow, I know it used to be the done thing to convert the dress into a christening gown. Perhaps something sentimental, there's a thing I've been thinking about that people will make a teddy from items of clothing.
@LadyWithAPlan would love to hear about your california vintage adventure.
Busy week, am reading diaries and things slowly but don't have a lot of time with work and still sleeping excessively. I have a doctor's appointment at some point to hopefully get something done about it.
Popped into a couple of charity shops while I had dropped my sister off at her eye appointment. Got a gift for a friend's little baby's first birthday in a couple of months and an arm for holding my phone. I've been thinking about youtubing my projects to motivate me to work on them since I find it hard with the aforementioned work and sleep. I really enjoy the process just need the time.
Need to handle my money but maybe tomorrow because I'm knackered. Hope all have been having a great weekend. Time to de flee the cats.2 -
Flee thing administered. No cat is my biggest fan right now.2

I know the feeling with de-fleaing cats 🙄 one of its hated it so much we had to get him tablets instead.
Not sure about the wedding dress, I’m not really one for sentimental things, more minimalist (except in choice of house it seems!)
YouTubing your projects might be good but only if you have the energy for it!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
