That's fair enough about the wedding dress. It's all very personal isn't it, I wonder what happens to the underskirts, whether they are as sentimental as the dress.

Found a lovely chest of drawers on market place within 30 minutes of posting, learnt my lesson and messaged right away! Taken off market place just after my message. One day I will get drawers!!

Hoping for more energy soon! I'm determined to be awake until 10pm today. Little steps are progress after all

I might actually be getting a chest of drawers, looks mid century and painted an interesting colour. Love the shape of it though but can use as is until I get around to it. £20. Not bad! Fingers crossed it goes through!

Only thing is that it would be great if it had legs instead of a skirt. Never mind! This is how second hand buying goes

  • I'm delighted with it, I got it into the flat, the stair climbing trolley is one of my best buys. Looking closely there's some missing veneer in places and a dent in one of the drawers, I think it's in excellent condition for the price.

Today's jobs are going to Lidl due to the £5 off £25 voucher so will stock up on supplies. Cleaning the chest of drawers and putting back together. Washing. Move my living room furniture around in prep for the week ahead.

Have this week off so hoping to get lots in the flat sorted. Lots in the uncles house and maybe a little charity shopping if I can sneak it in. I'm hurting a bit so will need to be careful. But feeling positive. Whoop whoop!
  • It's not noon yet, I have managed to drop my mum off at the hospital (she requires some new holes), go to 5 charity shops (3 of which are new to me) and put some epoxy onto my mum's sink (it's cracked.

    Time for a nap?

Also not in one of the shops today but I saw this lovely mid century blond real wood with veneer chest of drawers for around £50 (would have seriously considered getting it if I hadn't got the gplan) but next to it was an IKEA chest of drawers for £80. It's on the website for £99. Absolute madness .

  • I am knackered. Put my mum's curtain rail up (after only a few months of promising...) And sanded the a tiny amount of the epoxy off. It turns out that I hate epoxy. It's very difficult to work with and then very difficult to sand off. You kind of shove a strange playdoh on and then sand it back, however the part that has been sanded off looks good.

Just saw on marketplace that one of the chest of drawers that I missed out on has been put back into marketplace ... At £175 so I guess the original posting at £5 was a mistake! It's lovely but don't think that I could afford that!
  • It's with great sadness that my holiday is coming to an end. I have really enjoyed not working or worrying and just doing what I want. Annoyingly I still have had things come to me which are work related but it was a colleague concerned that she had got me into trouble. This makes me so annoyed because said colleague is under a huge amount of pressure and shouldn't have to worry about getting her colleagues into trouble for emails sent 4 months ago before any new rules have been enacted. Made a stink at my managers over the phone and plan to make another one on Monday.

I have however been relatively productive, I've been trying to increase my stamina and get some chores done. I've also bought new jeans £5 white stuff, a dehumidifier £7, a crisper tray £3,  a gift for a friend £5, two paintings £5 each, a gift for my nanny and a mini hamper to go with it £10 and £2.25 respectively. I also got things from b&q such as little furniture trolley things.

My living room is still a mess but less of one. My kitchen is more of a mess than ever! I have still not done my monthly finances soooo...

But my new pictures are so pretty!
