Why? I normally read your views and agree/chuckle along with but this one.......not! :D
An enormous repair bill for dinging the front end whilst parking or an extra £30?
Sorry but we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
Funnily, i've been pondering a small Caddy sized van to facilitate a side project i'm going to work on. I havent seen much movement yet, but in theory markets like pickups and vans are likely to be hit by the upcoming downturn.
Would be interesting to hear if anyone has direct experience?

Why? So you can argue with them?

Edit for clarity: The resident know-it-all reference was you-know-who, not you! Hope that's clear.........

  • Did you know that if you use 2 different browsers (eg: IE and Firefox just as examples) for 2 different IDs you don't need to waste time logging out and in while having a conversation with yourself?

If you're careful you can even reply to yourself in real-time instead of that annoying few minutes delay while you swap!

You need to be a lot more convincing than that. If were you, Freds, don't even bother going to an audition for an extra on an ad campaign as you couldn't act your way out of a paper bag.

Having a conversation with your alter ego ids and now quoting yourself too? Loving the nice touch of disagreeing with yourself.

    Brilliant!

All that logging off and on again must get tedious though - just like your posts. :rotfl:
  • I do think the whole thing is a nonsense. Surely you have either claimed or not claimed.

The whole principle of offering protected no claims for a fee is essentially offering insurance on top of insurance.

    It is yes.

And you can chose to either pay it or not. MSE - like most of us on here - say to consider it and decide for yourself if you want to pay the small premium to cover what might be a significant cost if the event of an accident.

Yes it is insurance on top of insurance. As we have already discussed insurance is to pay bills you could never afford to pay yourself. So I pay for car insurance to cover massive claims and I have to by law. I can easily afford an increase on my insurance premium so I don't need that extra insurance. I just seem to be able to see things with a clarity that others can't.

And do you hear voices that others don't?
