Just signed up online, used code 2001 ok. Terms in my copy of Daily Mirror said it ends 30 Nov., so I assumed midnight tonight.

Despite some folk saying that there is no £1 charge for Sky customers, I have just checked my online bank statement and have found that there is a DD payment of £1 due to come off tomorrow to Setanta Sports. And I am a Sky Customer.
Still, I suppose it cheap enough to get 2 months Setanta for £1!0 -
Setenta will rip you off, try cancelling0

Just write recorded delivery to them telling them you have tried to cancel by phone but couldn't so therefore you are giving written notice that you wish to cancel.
If they keep charging you, take them to small claims - as long as someone at setanta signed for the letter then you have proof that you did everything you possibly could to cancel!

Just a reminder ...
those who subscribed to this are now due to cancel their subscriptions to avoid being charged.

I've just phoned and been told to call back on Monday 24th as that is when I have had it for a month as the system will not do anything until then.
I've just thought how crafty they are with this offer. Presuming you ordered it on the 25th November, I'm guessing you won't get through on xmas day and therefore unable to give a full months notice of cancellation and will be charged as you will go 'over' the 30 day notice (IYSWIM)
This could be fun .... not!!!0 -

Thats unexeptable meerustar you have given them notice just because its christmas they are fobbing you off. Did you pay via direct debit if so go to the bank and get it cancelled as soon as possible put yourself in control of the situation not them. They can deal with a cancellation request on working days the argument that the relevant department is not in is in a company of that size laughable stick to your guns and cancel.
