I've been reliably informed that Setanta...the well known supplier of Irish and Celtic sport, made a bit of a boob....in that they assumed Northern Ireland was not in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and eligible for the offer (well, their professional web master didn't know anyway).......now how sure can we all be that everyone will receive their "welcome pack" or be sure that all cancellations will be processed properly....its going to be fun in 2 months time....as for those on Sky who assumed they got it free....you will also find that your DD ac will have £1 taken from it....you did enter the details didn't you?...thats apparently (I've been informed...) part of the verification process as well....seems a shame that their take up could have been higher....certainly if talking to the number of people who would have subscribed had it not been for falling at the first hurdle when the code wasn't accepted....oh dear....another blunder....lol
I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Hi, I was just wondering....
I've got a Freeview box WITHOUT a slot to put a card in, can I still take up this offer?
Or
I've got an old Sky box downstairs that I use to get the Freeview channels on as I'm no longer a customer of Sky, can I use this to receive the Setanta Sports channels?0 -
Just tried to register with setanta and keep getting "please enter a valid postcode" even though the postcode I have entered is correct
Anyone else had this problem?0 -

I had this problem with the postcode - I put it down to my postcode being a single digit after the letter (eg. M3 1AB). I was able to put down a different address (my bank address is different to my sky billing address) with a 2 digit postcode (eg. M30 1AB) and that worked fine - however if you dont have a different address you can use I dont know what you can do?!0 -
use the national phone number on page 1 here, don't get ripped off on their premium lines.

just been trying so sign up for my neighbour, it won't accept our postcode, presumed because we don't have cable in our street, put my address and mum's postcode and it accepted it, i'm in sheffield, shes in devon!!
then it asks for the £29.99 when i said he had IDTV, why don't they mention that cost on front page!
he's just phoned them to see if diff answer, only to be told that offer expired at midnight last night, but they would let him on if he had the promotional code, 2001.
i've been subscriber since august and i think its a great little set up, i'm torquay united fan so its the only way i can catch up with their matches and hilights, premier league and euro football is just a bonus, and now england world cup away games will be thru setanta only
cheers0
