ATOL doesnt mean anything for you now, you are on holiday, you will get home on Thursday, you arent entitled to any refund.

CAA have said it will take 2 month for a refund due to Thomas Cook supplying them with poor customer data

Given the number of people involved, two months doesnt sound unreasonable. It took my credit card company a whole month when Monarch went under.

The Hi-fly A380 is operating for the CAA, a great plane to get home on, a little consolation.

Not sure if it’s quite the right thing but I do have a five letter code that I can login onto the direct Virgin website and choose my plane seats etc.

I did explain this to the Virgin rep over Facebook messenger which he said was normal and that all bookings will do this but that the tickets have still not been issued.

Thanks still waiting on caa flight info to be updated but still wasn't sure if we were entitled to CAA flight because we didn't book with TC but thru TUI. Hoping TUI will update us.

If you were due to get home on a flight that had a MT flight number, you get on the replacement flight provided. Details will probably go up tomorrow on that website.

Thanks appreciate the time to reply. Also for anyone else on a TUI holiday but with TC flights just read an article in the express online confirming it will be CAA flight, sorry as new user can't post the link but it was top of my Google search.
