Google images will show you the pics. You do not need advice from us yet.

  • Google images even show the parking attendant poised ready to photograph. I'm currently receiving and ignoring debt letters for this same location, from reading this forum I'm encouraged enough to fight the bullies!
  • So got a letter from “trace debt” this week. Can figure out how to post picture of letter here as doesn’t seem to be an option. But says if not paid by 12th they could appoint their solicitor and take me to court.
So just ignoring them at this point right ?
Also states a CCJ. If I was to loose at court could I get one ? As really can’t afford that with trying to get a mortgage next few year.

Ignoring debt collecting and scary, intimidating letters is the right thing to do. You can only get a CCJ County Court Judgment if a judge issues an order, such as "pay this invoice by..........." and you fail to pay it in time, the judgment is lodged on your credit report/file/history (whatever it is called this week) and can then give you issues with obtaining credit of any sort.
  • Thank you. So hopefully I would win , but for example if it went to court and the judge favoured the parking company, they’ve can’t give me a CCJ unless I then don’t pay the fine.

So nothing will effect my credit score/history unless I was to get a CCJ at this point?

It isnt a fine at that point. Stop using the F word. Its a judgement debt.
If you fail to pay within one month the CCJ stays recorded on your credit file.

Thats literally the only time it matters.

Correct, unless there is an old address in play and TRACE have traced you to your new address.

    If so:

Defending a claim does not risk of a CCJ. We do not put posters at risk with what we do here.

Leaving an old address in a PPC's database is the only danger for people (except for the odd numpty who actually ignores a court claim!). So always get old addresses erased.

So just an update. Received a letter from trace legal today stating that they have been instructed to prepare for county court and have gathered their evidence etc. Balance is £160 they’re asking for within 14 days.

How quickly does it tend to take to get to court from here ? Just so I know how quickly/what evidence I need to start preparing.

    Thanks

It could be 12 months yet. That isn't a letter before claim. A formal warning has to give 30 days so court action is a way off yet.

Have Trace found you at a new address?

If so, you need to get all parties to erase any old address, as PCs have form for filing court claims to old addresses where they hold two.
