So should I use newbie thread first response and then wait for pcm to respond ? If they reject what do I do then just ignore until they take me to court?
If they do that how could I win as I don’t live there to get photos of the area for evidence etc.
I’m really confused my all the threads I’ve read in regards to this particular pcn.

Send a pm to whaqqer asking if they would mind giving your their court case number for you to quote to the scammers.

Send the appeal template in blue from The Keeper. Add a one liner with the details about whaqqer's win.

Looks like I’ll have to pay.
Eh? No-one here would pay, why on earth do you think that?

Read what you said, you DO NOT pay money for this con, not even to 'make it go away':
... my dad in the car and him walking away from my car. So the 2 pictures are literally maximum of 15 seconds apart.
No-one on any parking forum I've seen, has lost a defended case about that scam site.

NOT A SINGLE PERSON SEEN HERE HAS LOST ONE ABOUT THIS PREDATORY STING.
Questions is am I likely to successfully appeal ,
    NO.

The answer is NO, and that was not even a valid question, as there is no appeal. The question we wanted to hear from you, after reading the NEWBIES thread and gaining an understanding of the scam and how to beat it, is:

''Am I likely to succeed when they try a small claim?''

    YES.

And you can ask for your costs, so keep a tally of your hours spent and postage, etc., and that will be added to your costs to attend any local hearing to experience what small claims are like, and how to win.

Quite a life experience and well worth doing to gain confident in life in not rolling over.

One of the easiest for a Judge to adjudicate on, IMHO.

OP, have you based your forum username on your real name?

If so, you would be well advised to get your forum username changed to something completely anonymous.

To do that, you might like to read this short extract from The MSE Forum Guide - Frequently Asked Questions & Rules:
    Q. How can I change my username?

    A.
In most circumstances, this is not permitted.

The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.

If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.
  • I sent the appeal using the newbie thread template last week and am waiting a response. In the meantime my mp has responded asking for a copy of the pcn so she can ask for it to be removed too.
Problem is I literally have no time with my current work/study/mum life to be reading up on laws and how to get out of it should it be taken to court. And all the posts I’ve seen suggest that I need to do a lot of reading.
Thanks KeithP have emailed to change my username.

At this stage all you need to do is wait and see what happens. Why rush into paying when you have plenty of time to see what happens?

Ask here before you make any rash and expensive decisions.

    That's good.

Now all we need to tidy that up is waamo and Fruitcake to edit their posts where they have quoted you.
  • Got a response from the company. They have rejected my appeal saying “I parked in a manner whereby I agreed to pay the charge”. They say the signage is clear and I was not parked wholly in a bay , and the photos show me dropping someone off.
They’ve said I can appeal to the ias but then have to pay £100.

Any ideas what I do now ?

My MP said she was asking for it to be removed. But don’t know if my rejection means they didn’t listen to her either.

Now you wait. They will threaten all sorts but see what they actually do. It's often just bluff and bluster.

    Again?

What can we do to stop these posts when people get rejection letters from IPC firms?

You already know all this and I explained what to do and when, in post #13.

  • So I just wait and ignore this letter and don’t appeal to ipc? If they do take me to small claims has anyone got any of the picture of signage , road markings etc I could have sent to me please ?

I can’t for obvious reasons of getting another ticket go and get them myself. That and I like 2 hours away.

    Thanks in advance.
