Jayward - Huge hugs to you and your family. My thoughts are with you xxx

Kyle - Hope your day bucks up soon!

I got a letter from my interview yesterday saying that I didn't get the job. Hardly surprising really - on the way there yesterday I witnessed an absolutely horrific car accident and had to hang around to give a statement etc. OH rang them to tell them I would be late, but after all that I still had to go to the library to print my CV off. Of course it was closed when I got there, so after all that, an interview was the last thing I wanted to do. Never mind, I went anyway and I'm glad I did, even though I didn't get the job.

Plans for the rest of the day are tidying up. Just about to clean the fire out, have done a load of washing, will probably do the ironing later.

No idea whats for tea yet.
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment

BLAIRWEECH~ sorry you didn’t get the job and you saw an accident, wasn’t your day was it?
Well i feel a bit better than yesterday. Still in pain but don’t feel sick from the painkillers.
OH has just put a door curtain up. Hes made it out of a thick throw his mum gave him. He’s sewed it then made a frame and hung it. Hopefully it will keep the drafts out and save some money on heating bills. We could do with new windows doors but thats a pipe dream so instead we are making do with thicker curtains and frame filler to try n block the draughts.
havent thought about tea yet. will probabaly be jacket spud and something.
hugs to those suffering or those who just need of a hug for whatever reason.
    take care all

  • Evening Guys!!

Have had a nice relaxing afternoon with OH & DD. OH & DD made cheese scones and some rock cakes then we played cards for an hour or so. OH has just nipped down for a take-away as we thought .....what the heck:eek:   ...very ruthless for us:D

Think we might put a film on in a bit and put the fire back on as the temperature has dropped again. Have the CH on 23c but still quite chilly...have even put another layer on.

Sorted the fridge out earlier and need OH to get a chicken out the freezer...its OK...not one of ours;) ...yet:D .....not fat enough:p Having a lovely Roast Chicken dinner tomorrow and it wont defrost in time otherwise. Will do a crumble for pudding that will last till Tuesday in the fridge.

Have joined up a free DVD rental trial for 2 weeks and earned myself £15.90 through Quidco, so have £39 owing to me next month already. Also have around £20 in vouchers to use at Waitrose towards food shopping for Xmas and I love their extras they do there this time of year.

Anyway, better go and get plates ready for dinner.

    Hugs to all.

Been walking in the woods for several hours, little dog is quite worn out, we saw 23 deer, including 3 white ones which are very rare and a hugs stag with antlers, really nice walk, it was very cold but ok if you kept walking.

Bought myself some new tops today, went to get dressed this morning, and could find nothing warm enough, so treated myself to four new ones, I never spend money on myself, comes from 10 years as a single parent, it was either clothe DD or myself, guess who won :o .

  • It's a bit late but I just wanted to post to add my condolences to the others Jayward.
I can honestly say I would be devastated if anything happened to my sister and you must be feeling unbelievable pain. I hope once the shock subsides you will be able to remember the good times.

In light of your news it hardly seems right for me to witter on about my day so I'm just sending you my thoughts. Posts like yours really do put it all into perspective don't they? xxx

Nelski....I'm pleased your brother is home safe and well.

Pam....I hope you're fully recovered soon.
