Happy birthday to stefejb's dgs, dlb's ds3 and of course my dh who is still fast asleep:rolleyes: :j :j
made coconut macaroons last night as didnt have enough stuff to make truffles! look good though.
got up 6.30 today to find ds1 by my bed saying he wasnt well, told him to start going downstairs while i got up but he was in the middle of a bad hypo and tried to get back in his bed again! he was very confused and started arguing with me, he hasnt had a bad one in months and took over an hour for him to get better, he now has a very sore head, poor man
well the saga continues with mil, she has refused every attempt we have made to get her to come up to see her grandkids and she has now refused to come up and see dh on his birthday:mad: seems worse than normal, even his siters havent seen the kids since august!!

Good morning! Had a lovely meal out with friends (including one couple I haven't seen in over a year - they move in different circles, now - but their children are running wild - not coming home at night at 16yo  so that made for interesting conversations
). I was driving so only one small glass of wine, but despite the table being booked for 7pm, we were last out of the restaurant, and not home until after 12  If anyone has any spare matchsticks, I could use them for my eyelids.
As some of you know, I may be losing my job in March (end of my short-term funding) so several people agreed that maybe I take on the role of England manager. Even though I'll be rubbish at it, after a year I'll be sacked and given £2million - result :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
:bdaycake: to Mr Kyle, :bdaycake:stefejb's DGS and :bdaycake:Master dlb I love the sound of that party :T
My copy of the Guardian has just dropped on the mat - it includes a free copy of The Guardian Guide to Baking - look like some interesting recipes :T
DD is after a jacket for Christmas, so I may take her out later. Onion soup and fresh bread for lunch, inspiration from the butcher for teaWe have A Beautiful Mind from Amazon for tonight's *Movie Night* presentation.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Good morning everyone, the weather is looking not too bad here so may hopefully get some washing dried.
Happy Birthday everyone with birthdays!!!:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:
My twins, DS1 and DD are 27 today !!!
DD had been cycling in Europe since August and was due to return before Christmas. On Tuesday night I got a phone call - she was stuck in floods in Seville and had had enough. I arranged a flight for her and HEY PRESTO she arrived home on Wednesday night. I must say she looked like a drownt rat but it was great to see her. She is staying here till February and will then return to her BF in Australia.
Having a family meal tonight, really looking forward to it !
This afternoon I will go and visit Mum and Dad. Dad has really not picked up that well since his last stint in hospital with Emphysema.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday !!!Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

This is probably the one time I wish I had a husband - he could empty the traps for me:D Then again, perhaps not, especially if he wanted any wifely duties for disposing of said mouse:rotfl:cheerfulness4 wrote: »Oh bad luck Pipkin. My SIL says that she knows that the little critters have been eating the poison at her house because their poops have got blue bits in them.
Hope your ds is soon feeling better kyle.
I've just been outside to peg some washing and it's cold. It's definitely a wrap up warm day today.

Morning all - Happy birthday to all the birthday boys and girls - what a lot there are today
Pen-Pen - if you fail to catch the eye of the FA you could always try Uncling - I hear that the money's pretty good for very little obligation
Made the lumberjack cake last night - I used the aussie women's weekly recipe - I'm having a sample for breakfast. Yum! a bit more fuss than my usual baking but well worth it. Let's hope dgs agrees today. Actually I feel like a proper gran at the moment - dd says that whenever she tells him that they're coming over he says "nana's house! noice cake!" plans are to go over to dd's at about 4 and take him to the shop while the dd's decorate the hosue and make up the tea. little dd is at her dad's still so we have told him that he is expected at 3pm but have let litle dd know that it is actually 4 so she doesn't get anxious
well must fly ..... and knit - have a good dayI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Good Morning All
Many Happy Returns to everyone celebrating their birthdays
Very frosty here today. Had a good nights sleep and feeling very energised.
Plan for today - OH to drop DS at footie - thankfully as he and DD are arguing this morning. Hoover, wash kitchen floor and washing. Ironing will be done as well. Hopefully persuade DD to do her homework today rather then leave it to the night before it has to be handed in.
If she plans to have a lazy day then she will have to do it in her bedroom this morning, cant bear people lounging abour whilst Im on a mission. OH plans very little but he has an excuse as he is still ill, am hoping his scan appointment comes through this week then we will have an idea about our holiday in January.
Really really need to put some stuff on ebay have been putting it off for weeks but am going to try so hard to list it today or tomorrow.
Need to get pork chops out of the freezer for tonight to have with j pots, corn on the cob and garlic mushrooms.
Have a great day.0 -
Morning all
Happy birthday to all those celebrating:bdaycake: Didn't manage to get back to thread yesterday due to housework and employment. Managed to take DS to school yesterday only to find out non-school uniform day is next week  ! managed to get him home again, changed and back to school in time. Felt like a right plonker:o . We have a lot of wildlife here too but they're quite well-behaved, namely lots of hedgehogs and the odd fox, love it.
It's cold and bright here. Plan to get some washing out in a minute and then have a family day out to local wildlife park where we've got membership, with a picnic. Dinner will be whatever I can find in the freezer.
Hugs to all who are unwell or feel grotty. Have a lovely day :A xxx0 -

3 days off now!:j got some cleaning to do and piles pf washing, first load in now, not long got back from work - slept in last night. Also need to try and locate the huge spider in the lounge - not looking forward to that:eek:
Other plans for today are to write a shopping list for tomorrow when we go to Asda to get a fortnights shopping and to make myself some veggie lasagne. Not eating meat is really helping my IBS so far! I have eaten fish and its not too bad so fingers crossed I can keep eating that.
Mrs_Mix - hope the knee's ok!
Ellie :hello: hope you have a lovely weekend!
