  • Morning all,

My thanks button isn't working - so hi to everyone.
    Jayward - ((((((hugs)))))))

Happy birthday to all those celebrating.
PenPen - you have my vote for England manager - otherwise could you not go and run HMRC - they sound like they need some serious OS organising:mad:

Jannyannie - that is the worst nightmare on non uniform day. Last week I had to knock on our neighbour's door at 7.30am to check we had the right day as ds1 wouldn't get dressed otherwise - they were about to do the same to us to check:D

My parents were here from Tues to Fri am so I haven't been on here a lot, except to show my Mum how it works, so she might be turning up. (or lurking ATM - hi Mum :D ) We went to the continental Christmas market in Belfast on Thurs and I got salami from there - we had some last year. I got 8 different ones for £10.

I have to make a wedding cake for one of dh's students for Monday - he volunteered me. They hadn't got one ordered by 10 days ago. I love baking - but a wedding cake is a lot of responsibility:eek: . They want a lemon sponge - 2 tiers on top of each other - which I am covering with a white choc ganache. They have given me pearlised glitter to sprinkle on it and some very narrow lace with a gold thread. I have got broad gold ribbon to back the lace, some gold stars and some gold stars on wires to come out of the top. It won't be very traditional - but it seems to be what they want, as far as I can tell - dh's student wasn't very articulate on the phone. It will be our wedding present to them - so at least they can't complain too much if it isn't what they want - which they could if they were paying:D

I am also frantically knitting a scarf for my sister's Christmas pressie from some hand dyed wool I bought in the summer (so why did I leave it till the end of November!).

    Have a good day everyone

Hugs to those still not feeling right.

OH is making bacon sandwiches, they smell delish, DD is cleaning her room  , and will be off out with her dad for the day, OH and I will go walking for the day, I fancy a long walk, with a picnic.

Cheesy nabs for tea tonight so nice and easy, got a load in the WM, and another to go in, don't know weather to hang it out or not  , no rain at the mo, but it looks a bit grey, might just take the chance.

Love to all, will pop back later.

    Hello everyone,

First of all Happy Birthday :bdaycake:to those celebrating one. Spare a thought for poor old Twink :D she'll be 80 on Monday.

Jayward I'm so sorry to hear of your loss today. Remember “Death ends a life, not a relationship". She will always be with you. Take care.

Well we voted today. I don't think the same government will lead though. :( Counting is still early but it doesn't look good. I liked Johnny Howard. :D Those eyebrows were something else. ;)

I used my dishcloth tonight. I must say it feels so more superior than my micro-fibre cloth. :p I've started my second.

Churchmouse What were you wearing? He probably just wanted an ogle at that time of night. :D Did you tell him about Darcy? :p Hussy.

MrsMix Take it easy. Just have a break.
Nelski Thats great news about your brother.

Well off to have a surf while I've got the puter. (((hugs))) to anyone whose sick. Have a great Saturday. Byeeeeeeeeee

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Jayward-Im sorry to hear of your loss. Huge hugs coming your way.

    Hi Guys!

Head feeling abit squiff this morning and I cant seem to get warm...it is bloomin freezing though.

WM has been on and on airer, DW on ATM and toilet scrubbed/bleached. All of downstairs has had a quick lick and floors moped and hoovered. I love the smell of bleach and polish:D

Have friends popping in for a coffee soon and I have bung a HM frozen meal in the cooker as Im starving and need some protein...only chicken stew but hopefully will warm me through.

DD has tidied her room and completed HW so she is now saying she is bored. May let her do some baking this afternoon or may play Monopoly. Dont want to go out as so cold and will be busy.

Managed to load another 5 book on ebay yesterday so have around 60 items listed ATM:eek:   ...sold another 2 items this morning...so another £10:D :D

Anyway, off to do the meal plan thread.

    Hugs to all.

    Morning....

Jayward, I'm sorry to hear of your loss, please do talk on here.

Nelski, presents bought and wrapped on the same day...scary...but, will you remember who they are for and where you have put them when the time comes?

Lots to do today, but no inclination.

Waiting for my pet scaffolder to call and give me a price for the scaffolding at the front of the house.....he's a customer at work and I've not seen him for months...last night, who came in but him....Not sure how he took it when I said that I had only been thinking about him yesterday.

    Have a great day everyone.

Happy birthday to all those who are celebrating.

Hugs to the poorlies...get well soon.

Big hugs to those in need....especially Jayward.

  • jayward - ((((hugs)))) So sorry. Stay here and talk as much as you want :)

Hope everybody's OK this morning. I haven't been outside yet - it looks a bit grey and damp. Must go and get the paper, and later on I'll run down to the recycling place.

Having a fairly lazy day today as I'm halfway into a month of things being completely mad socially. Next week is the worst: I'm out every evening Monday-Saturday, and I've just accepted a lunch invitation on Saturday

Still need to do some cooking for the freezer (the best way to prevent "being out every night" from becoming really expensive) and go to the gym for a swim. :D I am off to a concert tonight.

    Love Rzl xx
