  • Very late start for me today but I don't care. I'm late because I slept 8 hours last night and I feel so much better for it. Have not been getting enough sleep due to busy schedule, late nights, early starts etc so last night decided to turn off all alarms as OH is away. I also think the fact that I had been to gym class then just had soup for dinner with friend then came home and had 2 cups of camomile tea whilst watching out version of bake off all helped. I am hoping it might be the motivation I need to cut out alcohol during the week.

I am working at lunchtime then setting off to pick OH up from airport so we can go to holiday house to meet step family there tomorrow morning. Will be hard work but nice to see them. So this mornings first task is packing. I'm a bit behind on washing but am going to look in the bulging wardrobes and find something suitable that hasn't been out for a while (might even find some things to go into the charity bag too)

    Bathroom s/s
    HHI done
    recycling out
    Bottle bank done yesterday

    See you all next week

One big wall has been given its first coat of emulsion :D

Just having a breather and :coffee:
  • Cleaned kitchen worktops yesterday including putting away various piles of accumulated crap (rather than moving pile of accumulated crap which is DH approach to tidying :rotfl: )

Purchased boxes for storing girls old school books (some of which have been sat on the side in our kitchen for over a year :o ), which was on this weeks To Do List Bingo.

Purchased paint samples (and put them on wall) of living room so that will be next weeks task.

Overall, happy that I am making some progress and can already see the difference in the house. Loving the daily updates from everyone else, thank you for keeping me motivated, even if I am a little in awe of how much you all get done on a daily basis.

I shifted myself this morning and ran the vacuum cleaner through the LR before work. I left work only 1.5 hours late and when I got home I sloshed bleach down the toilets, before heading out. Car filled with petrol (a hated job) and Mr M visit done. I stuck to the list which was based on the meal plan but recently seem to be spending too much. I still need to put the shopping away and have just remembered that I need to wash my hair :( (this is truly a hated job and trumps petrol filling). 2nd load of washing on as the first load has obligingly dried while I was out.

Hello all, thanks for all your good wishes.

Dad died yesterday so today has been phone calls, sorting stuff out and lots of sitting round, although I managed a nice walk in the sunshine with the dogs.

Tomorrow I plan to work from home and sort out this pit to try to get some kind of order and routine again.
Spend less now, work less later.

Love and (((hugs))), Jazee x Give yourself as much rest as you possibly can.

Lovely sunny day here today. Since :coffee: time I have
    - finished the two coats of paint on three walls of the bedroom
    - washed all the painting equipment so that I can use a different colour tomorrow
    - had a shower
    - taken Rosie for her walk
    - taken Rosie to kennels - with a long diversion because the lane is closed at one end
    - been to the market town and swapped the second, unused, tin of paint for the other colour I wanted
    - DH put the chicken in on a fairly low heat, so that it was done by the time I came home. I have cut chips and found some frozen veg.

I need to be ready to be picked up at 6.40 for a training evening - I'd rather stay in :(
