I watched that programme Sary.
Some where in total denial & so evangelical.
Mede me feel very uncomfortable.
I agree. Initially I didn't think I could cope with watching more than the first 15 mins with the awful Victoria lady, who simply wanted everyone to agree with her way of thinking. I'd love to see how well she is doing when she's Bab's age, and having health concerns due to her denial about weight. Oh and as for her statement that being overweight is a 'political movement', and denying that obesity and diabetes is connected. God give me strength, I think I would have been tempted to lump her one if I'd been another housemate. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Well done PIB! Pleased for you. :TI watched that programme Sary.

I knew I wouldn't like it so stayed well clear. I knew from reading the blurb in the paper that it would wind me up!;)
My DH has taken to doing that with 'my' ham sary. I buy a pack every week to have with my fried veg at lunchtime and a couple of weeks ago he decided that he'd like ham rolls for his lunch. That week we ran out so I bought two packs the next week then he didn't eat any.
I couldn't eat lasagne without cheese either denise. We haven't had any since I've been doing SW. I saw one of those Eat Well for Less programmes the other week and they made a veggie lasagne with a quark topping. Obviously it doesn't have to be veggie as that part's free. I really should make myself try quark.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit (F), 2 boiled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L: lentil (P) and veg (S) soupSW Bolognese (P,S) with tagliatelle (F) and HEA2 Parmesan

Sary frustrating isn’t it when OH starts eating your food. Mine does not have a sweet tooth like me, but caught him eating one of my hifi bars the other evening! Hope it was a one-off, don’t want to run out!
Didn’t watch the obesity program cos knew I would get annoyed.
Maman do try the Quark, it is not much different from fromage frais. I use quark for baking with oatbran (HEb is 45g) and make little cakey things some days. Can fit 6 in my airfryer, don’t feel guilty then turning on the oven just for a snack. Some days I add reduced sugar marmalade or mincemeat and syn accordingly, but even with just some mixed spice and sweetener they are synfree and tasty.
Really enjoying the Corn Thins as a HEb. Instead of my hifi bars, last night I had 5 of them, spread with 3 squares of the Mclellan original cheese, and then a smear of Vegemite. Made a really nice savoury snack. They weigh nothing and are quite big, got mine from Waitrose where they were down to £1 last week, in the aisle with the crackers.
Also making soup today from bs, carrot, swede, celery and some of the dried soup/broth mix of pulses. Gotta keep up the speed!

Might be better to go before the birthday unless you're planning on being good!
The lasagne was really nice. I only made half the recipe which is supposed to be 2 portions but there's enough left for us to have for lunch tomorrow so only used 0.5 of 2nd HEA!
I used the SW recipe for beef and squash lasagne - the squash is actually used as part of the "white sauce". Was actually nice but think it could have done with less water in it as it was a bit runny - I ended up using some cornflour to thicken it a bit but still could have done with more but it was getting late and wanted to get it in the oven. We just had it with some broccoli; didn't do the cabbage after all.
Found the recipe by googling when not logged in! It doesn't seem to be on the members recipes - doesn't make sense to me. The recipe is for the ready made one you can get in Iceland, although I haven't actually tried the ready made one.

They definitely chose a mixture of people to keep the debate going. I rather liked quite a few of them, but I felt sorry for the antagoner of the group (and to think people pay her to give advice). I was mindful that the program editors edit to make specific people appear as being extreme.... I have to admit I felt that she was slim so was not keen from the start :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I deserve a gold medal today, even if I say so myself.
This morning I was not hungry as I had porridge late last night (due to work and granny duties), so I took my porridge to work and had this around 11 am. I had a meeting so was missing the big boss taking everyone out for lunch, but the meeting was cancelled so I went for a diet coke... everyone ordered fish and chips with all the sides... I explained I was not hungry and on a diet, the waiter suggested salmon salad to go...I sat with 19 other people stuffing their faces, and did not pinch one chip! I arrived home to find OH had baked a butternut squash with onion and mushroom inside (god knows why!) new pot, asparagus and peas.... we shared the salmon salad and ate his random concoctions for tea...
:D:D
All I can say is if I have not lost weight on Monday I will be :D:D:D:D
