Evening all,
Another day on plan, and OH has just said he wants to eat less rubbish again(he’s had far more treats than me of late) but that can only help me too.
Meal plan:
B - banana & My Protein peach passion fruit skyr (didn’t have it yesterday). They’re not Aldi brand, but sold there
L - mixed salad (leaves, peppers, cucumber, carrot) ham & chopped chicken thigh, dressing (2); melon, mango & strawberries
Snack - baked apple skyr (1)
Snack - chicken thigh
D - chicken & spinach pasta with onions & mushrooms (cooked very nicely by DS4)
HeB - didn’t have one
HeA - milk in tea/coffee
Treat - piece of dark chocolate (2)One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Thanks for the advice on the birds. I put a small handful of mix out yesterday and it's not been touched and it's rained hard so it's thoroughly soaked. I'll keep an eye on it.:)
Great news that your DH wants to eat healthily sary. Long may it last!:)
I watched Eat Well for Less last night.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0009fn0/eat-well-for-less-series-6-episode-4
The couple in the show were both Type 2 diabetics but were eating so much sugar and other junk it was unbelievable. Well worth taking a look. One of the recipes they showed them was lasagne made with a quark topping.
I went for my GP appointment earlier as a follow up to ultrasound. He confirmed that all is well from tests and he thinks the bloating is IBS type symptoms and stress related. This is ironic as the waiting for the appointments and lack of information has caused great stress! So that's good news and I now need to pamper myself and stop worrying. Easy!:D
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F) with HEB porage and HEA1 milk
L: LO ham hash (P,F,S) with pickled cabbage (S)SW Bolognese (P,S) with tagliatelle (F) and HEA2 Parmesan
Syns: I may need some celebratory wine syns to relax me.;)0 -
Great news Sary that your DH wants to eat less junk/treats. My DH is more or less on board but does still have more treats than me - usually biscuits but at least it's not all the time. He's always eaten SW food with me as I refuse to cook different meals for us! He also doesn't eat WM bread as it causes problems with his IBS but at least he's not eating pappy white bread. He has a seeded loaf which has some wholemeal in it but isn't all wholemeal as that doesn't seem to upset him.
Good news for you too Maman. Do you have problems with WM bread like my DH? Enjoy your celebratory wine Syns this evening! I'll raise a glass to you too!
Was expecting a big gain this morning as another week where I've had too many syns plus being on steroids and was pleasantly surprised with just 0.5lb gain so still well in target!
Today's plan is an unintentional Green day (didn't realise it was a Green day until I looked as the plan this morning!):
B - nothing - forgot to take my fruit with me to group so just my cups of tea
L - jacket potato (F); beans (F); salad - lettuce, cucumber, spring onion, tomato, celery (S)
D - WM pasta (F); creamy mushroom and tomato sauce from SW website but I'll be submitting low fat soft cheese for the Fromage Frais (can't stand the stuff!) S; 2.5
HEA - milk
HEB - 2 hifi bars
Syns - low fat soft cheese 2.5; wine
Still have another HEA and HEB if needed but probably won't have them.

Great news maman and yay! to not having to worry too much about it anymore.
Meal plan today:
B - banana & My Protein strawberry soft cheese/yogurt (1.5) - making the syn value up according to other ff/nas yogurts/quark based stuff
L - HM butternut squash soup. melon/mango/strawberries
snack - baked apple skyr (if I need it at work, as in the fridge) (1.5)
Pre-Clubbercise snack - chicken thigh
D - SW chow mein ping meal (free)
HEA - milk in tea/coffee
HEB - none planned, but could have some cereal if I need it today. I had a really 'hungry' day yesterday, but will see how the afternoon pans out. Otherwise could substitute some porridge for my skyr
Have a good Thursday... a step closer to the weekend :j:One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Morning all! Weather here this morning is awful, really heavy rain and very windy, although it's supposed to be clearing up later. I do hope so I need to go out later!

Yes, it's really quiet at the moment. I know people get busy but I'm always worried that someone has fallen off the wagon. Just like a RL group, it happens but posting helps. Just draw that line if you're lurking.:)
I didn't post earlier as I seem to be really good at using up stuff lately so couldn't post my menu until I'd done my meal plan and shop. All sorted now.
IBS seems the GP's best guess as to what's causing the bloating as he's eliminated other things. Obviously I know exactly what I eat so I'll have to check the diary to see if it's any food that's triggering it. Seems odd that it should just suddenly start.
Today's EE plan :
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP (F), chilli (S, P), cottage cheese (P), beetroot, pickled cabbage (S)chicken stir fry (P, S) with noodles (F)
Syns : honey 2.5, weekend wine0 -
Morning,
Nice lazy morning so far for us laying in bed watching the rugby - well done England!
Have just had breakfast and about to go in the garden for a potter, especially as it’s dry here at the moment.
Today’s meal plan:
B - My Protein peach ff soft cheese yog (2); banana
L - poached eggs, mushrooms, bacon, tomato, slice wm seeded bread HEB (thick slice so counting 3)
D - chicken & mushroom curry with whole grain rice (3 for sauce
HEA - milk in tea/coffee
Not got any snacks planned, but have the choice of melon/oranges/apple
Peek at the scales show my loss is back, having escaped me last week. Depending upon what happens by Monday means I may move WI back to a Thursday again. Especially if my theory of bread at weekend causing a temporary gain.
Still quiet here, so hoping all is okay with everyone, and if you’re lurking we miss you!!One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Been out all morning taking my friend's dogs to the groomers - just waiting for a call now to got and pick them up. Decided it was too long to wait in town as there's not that many shops to wander around and I only needed to buy some eggs and didn't really want to be tempted going in and out of other shops! Popped into Wetherspoons for coffee and a couple of lattes so will use one of my HEAs and syn the other one 6 syns.
Today's plan:
B - sausages 2; egg P; beans F; mushrooms S
L - cauliflower & blue cheese soup - cauliflower S; blue cheese
D - LO beef stew with cannelli beans; mash
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - milk
Syns - latte 6; sausages 2; blue cheese triangles 6. No alcohol today as not really enough Syns left0
