    Think I'll have to try that version next time, I always feel there's something missing but I'll have to call it something else as DH only considers it to be hash if it has baked beans in it!

    I add all sorts depending what I've got to use up. Today it's a parsnip, often it's courgettes or mushrooms. You could add beans but then you wouldn't really need the horseradish. Perhaps you could make it more barbecue flavour by adding something to the beans or add some paprika. Just a thought.

    What sort of casserole are you having bubbs . Is it in the SC? Looking forward to seeing the pics. :)

    That looks fab bubbs . I haven't had a beef casserole in ages. :)

    I meant to say I saw a Delia Smith recipe for pork chops with creme fraiche and mushrooms which I'm going to try. It's not cheap as she uses some porcini mushrooms but it looks good. I might try it at the weekend.:)

    Was nice, steak and kidney :p love kidney:rotfl: onions, celery, leeks, carrots and used oxo cubes and Worcester sauce

    I just couldn't eat kidney, even the smell puts me off. _pale_
