    Evening all,
Thank you for all the great ideas and support - that’s why I love this thread!

I stuck to the plan posted yesterday, and battled past the Guylian chocolates 2ft from my desk all day. Determined and focused to stick with it. Just needed to get my head back on right after a break.

I’m easily able to do lots of veggie based meals, and so long as OH gets his meat in addition thee won’t be any complaints. He works out hard in the gym and has a very old fashioned attitude to food (I blame his countryside upbringing). I have chicken and sausages in the freezer and rice/pasta/sauces. Local
Store has good offers on frozen bags of veg too that can be used in plenty of meals. I have carrots and celery as well as potatoes already so going to work on a meal plan tomorrow when OH is out with colleagues.

PIB I think we are both at a similar stage. I started the year as size 20 (a tight 20 at that) and now size 16. No idea of bmi as I’m
Short so probably still considered morbidly obese. I’m Going by clothes sizes to judge my target, how about you?

Hi sary, the Guylain chocs sound tempting! I haven’t set an official target as it has been so long since I’ve been this weight or lighter :o. So will see how I go. Aiming to lose another stone by year end, and would love to be a size 12 but not sure that is achievable. Let’s get to size 14 first and see . I am 175cm which is 5ft9 ish so not short ;).

And on one hand feel very pleased with weightloss overall, but on other hand frustrated I gained half this week *rolls eyes*. Will make sure I drink plenty this week to keep things moving and will try to up the speed. Perhaps having some of the special “trump” soup the day before WI is a good idea :rotfl:.

Great loss DIMW. Good idea to get a plan together Sary - don't think I could manage without a plan!

Have to say I wouldn't have had any problem leaving those chocolates alone - I think they're really sickly and used to be given them in Belgium when buying cigarettes (haven't smoked for over 7 years now! so longer go there!). My DGD absolutely loved them so they always got given to her, usually has part of her Christmas present! Very :money:!

Off to see the nurse for yet another blood test so will be back later which today's plan!

Before the days off watching what I ate I loved a Bernard Matthews turkey burger, freezer tea with oven chips and beans or cold in a sandwich the next day, the Bernard Matthew turkey escalope’s are not as good!

Finally just got back! Ended up having to go to the hospital - 45 minutes drive from the GPs, which took 30 minutes to get to from home!

The nurse at the GP was unable to get any blood from me - she tried both arms and then admitted defeat. Should have just gone to the hospital in the first place - would have gone first thing rather then getting them about 10.45!

    Anyway, today's plan:

B - stuffed mushrooms - stuffed with Aldi roasted veg couscous S; Syns (need to check how many); topped with a little cheese -part HEA
L - LO Spanish rice - not synning the chorizo as synned yesterday
D - Jerk beef stew (from freezer - PON recipe); usually serve with rice & peas but as we had rice yesterday will have with mash & green veg

    HEA - milk/cheese
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - couscous ?

    Great loss DIMW!:T

I couldn't agree more about having a plan denise. Whenever my consultant asks around the group for tips I always say Planning and Speed. For me, those are the essential things with SW. :)

I can see that your DH needs protein sary but padding out with pulses can be just as healthy (and much more mse:money:) alongside a smaller portion of meat. I'd certainly do that if money was tight in the coming weeks. I find Home Bargains and sometimes Poundstretcher very good for cheap tins of pulses. They often have 4 tins for £1. We had sausage casserole last week and it was lush.

We're having corned beef hash tonight although I don't really have the syns for it. As I'm not going to WI at the moment or eating out I thought I'd have some of the slightly more synful recipes and keep the syn free ones for when I need to rein back seriously. I hope that makes sense. It does to me.:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porage, HEA milk
L: JP (F) with SW Bolognese (S,P) and pickled cabbage (S)
    D: corned beef hash (S, F), cabbage (S)
Syns: corned beef 2.5, horseradish 1

The couscous was OK as only.1 syn for half the packet (only 1.5 for the whole packet)! Have had a mini Vienna this afternoon for another 4 syns. Think I'm probably over syns for the week and definitely feeling a bit bigger, as in my trousers aren't as loose as they were last week! I'm probably around my actual target weight rather than near bottom end so probably quite a big gain this week but I'm OK with that as know I've had more alcohol than usual this week!

Maman do you use the horseradish in your corned beef hash?

Yes, that's right. I adapted a recipe for baked corned beef hash. The original used double cream  I thin down 2 tbsps of horseradish sauce with a little milk. It's basically cubed potatoes, onions and peppers (I've added carrots, a parsnip and leeks) all mixed up with cubes of corned beef and then the 'stock' poured over in a dish. It's all prepped and I'll put sliced tomatoes and Parmesan on top before baking in the oven. We're having cabbage with it. :)
