Meant to say also polyanna, don’t think you can have too many eggs. Most days I have a sweet omelette for breakfast, these days made with 2 eggs (used to be 3), which takes up one half of my plate. The other half is filled with whatever speed fruit I have lying around like straw/blue/raspberries, satsumas etc. Then topped with half a Muller and ff fromage frais, to counteract the sweetness of the Muller. I think all the fruit negates the constipation factor of the eggs. I always have a bowl of boiled eggs available too, ready to add to a salad or handy as a savoury snack. Plus at the w/e OH will do a SW fry up with bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans etc, so even more eggs :rotfl:. Don’t think I could do SW without them!

Same here! I feel sorry for my friend though as she is allergic to eggs so can't have hardly any of the foods a lot of us take for granted.

Evening.
Well done PIB - fabulous progress. Maybe getting into a 'knock em dead' dress at Christmas could be your next target??
Pollyanna I would starve without eggs! They are great at filling you up and good protein. Only two on today's menu (1 in moussaka topping) but I have been known to eat 4.
Well yesterdays menu was abandoned as I ended up at DDs house looking after an (allegedly!) sick DGD. I did my best with what DD had in so not too bad a day overall....apart from Lurpak! I can't remember the last time I ate butter. DGD made a miraculous recovery so back on plan today.
Today's menu
B Bran crunch, berries, 0% yoghurt, drizzle of caramel syrup (HEB, S,P, 1/2 syn)
L Bacon, egg, mushrooms, toms, few LO potatoes fried (P,P,S,F) banana (F) orange (S)
D HM veggie moussaka and salad (All P,S,or F) LTL mayo (1/2 syn)
Snack - skinny peanut bar (76 cals so 4 syns) Low syn day for me - might not stay that way!
Have a good evening all.0 -
Have just checked the syns of DH's lollies and they are more than I thought - they are 15 syns each so a full day's syns:eek:. DH also "doctored" my diet ginger beer so ended up with a double rum in it so another 5 syns! So that used up the 5 syns I didn't have yesterday but still have enough for tomorrow as long as I'm careful after tomorrow's funeral. I'll make sure I have something to eat before we leave for the funeral, probably just a sandwich so that I won't pick too much. Hoping there will be some salad and cold meats as I think it would look rude not to have something! I know there are plans to buy in most of the food so will probably be very beige.
Denise
PS Meant to say the jerk beef stew we had yesterday was lovely. Will definitely be making that again.0 -

Joedenise - I love the batter on fish, last weekend I tried to persuade DH to have fish so I could just taste the batter
Pounds in bucks, WOW, just WOW
I am going shopping tomorrow to buy jaffa cakes, I have been struggling since last week and I think it is because I haven't got any jaffa cakes! They are my syn treats.
Today I have had
Breakfast: Tangerine and Apple, cup of tea (HEA)
Cup of coffee 1 sugar so 1 syn
Dinner: Speed soup with some free potatoes in it and a wholemeal roll (HEB) and cheese (HEA)
Another cup of tea (HEA)
Tea: More speed soup and a piece of homemade white bread. Lots of syns but still under 15 for the day I think.
Evening: Cup of tea and two rich tea biscuits, maybe 2 syns each??
Tomorrow I am getting more new potatoes so I can have a variety of either chips or boiled potatoes, not just baked. More beetroot as I have run out, I love it and it fills me up. Also more eggs and wholemeal rolls
I am going to use my syns as I only have about 7lb left to go. Well in fact I hit my target and was 1lb under the day I went on holiday but I decided just before I hit it that I would go another half a stone. I need to weigh tomorrow to see what damage I have done the last few days and see where I am. Maybe that 7lb is more like 10lb :0
Onwards and upwardsWeight loss 6lb/16lb 10lb to goI spend an insane amount of time wondering if I am doing it right, sometimes I remind myself that I am doing my best....and that is enough0 -
