UPDATE - Contacted Utilita after I had posted earlier today. Usual press button this and that followed by the rubbish music. Finally got through to someone and was given the brush off - we are waiting etc. Told him that I would be applying an interest charge with immediate effect of 8% per day until I had been refunded,

As usual he said they would not be paying however I pointed out that the media and Ofgem would be interested and I was quite capable of taking the matter to court.

Call centre staff really do need to get the message that when people ring them some of us have a great deal of experience in these matters and are not thick as the proverbial who can be brushed off.

Having lost patience I said I wanted to speak to a manager - He then put me through to someone called Kieron who after I had repeated "My Script" pointing out that KPMG had redirected me to them he admitted that they do have the data for the Eversmart accounts and they are having to check them to see who is owed what.

I said that the delay was not acceptable – in my opinion and reading comments online people think that they are quite intentionally delaying payouts. I sad that if they needed to have use of my money (I am in credit) then I wanted interest. Result I was promised that someone would ring me later today. I said I would not be available and instead they could contact me tomorrow. Will wait and see and report back.

I should know this but can anyone tell me who refunds me the credit balance on my Eversmart account? Is it the SOLR supplier Utilita, or someone else?

My Eversmart credit balance was £113.64 and I've estimated that my Utilita bill, before I moved to Breeze, amounts to £104.42 (Edit: I cancelled my Direct Debit on the day Eversmart stopped trading).

So I'm really only £9.22 out of pocket at the moment.

Just wondering if Utilita will combine these figures and credit me with £9.22 when they eventually get around to sending me a bill.

Yes, the SOLR process means that at some point, Utilita will refund you the difference.
• Has anyone heard anything from the Eversmart administrators or Utilita re their credit of debt?

FTFY ! :D
• UPDATE - On Tuesday I rang Utilita not having received a promised reply/call. They do have the data and a (very) small team of people going through it. I was promised a reply the same day and yes I did get a call back to say that I would be refunded withing the next 10 to 14 days.

Personally I think Ofgem should get off their backsides and give them a kicking. It was not rocket science to get the data - they simply had to run an end of day report on their computer prducing bills for everybody - they only had 29,000 customers.

If like myself you never had an account with Utilita as my switch went through before they officially took over the accounts then is coud have been done within a few days if they wanted. My advice to anyone still stuck in limbo is to give them grief - if you do it by email as well as telephone then copy in Ofgem -
• ABSOLUTELY FUMING!

My switch date away from Eversmart to new supplier happened on 11 Aug 2019, I called Utilita 1st week in November asking where my money is (approx £180). They advised, no accounts have transferred yet, and said call back end of Nov.

I called today and due to my switch date they have nothing to do with me apparently! I was advised to call KPMG i.e. the administrators apparently, or try my current supplier AVRO.

What a complete waste of my time, and I am not convinced they have pointed me in the right direction. I sense hours of phone calls ahead, going from dept to dept. This is why people don't bother moving supplier... it is an absolute mess.

Ofgem safeynet hasn't worked for me.
Peace.

Better to conduct everything in writing so that you have an audit trail to support any future action you may take, e.g. Energy Ombudsman, small claims court etc.

I agree with Gerry1. The new supplier is responsible for all aspects of the switch so I would start there. . . In writing, of course, but don't hold your breath when dealing with Avro.
