Another week on and still no bill from Utilita.
I tried to switch a while back and they blocked it without giving me a reason so I'm stuck on their stupidly expensive tariff.0 -
i tried to submit a final reading from the day of take over...no joy0

I have today received an e-mail from Utilita:
Amongst other things it says:
"Hi,
We understand that switching from a supplier that’s closing its doors can be a little confusing, so we hope that this email will go some way to answer any questions you may have.
The important stuff
* Utilita Energy is your supplier. You should have already received your Welcome Book detailing the tariff you’re on and confirming the information we hold about you. You can check your prices at https://www.utilita.co.uk/help/our-tariffs
* You don’t need to worry about loss of any credit balances, these are secure
* You will receive a final bill of your Eversmart account. We are producing these as quickly as we can"
The thing is we haven't been with Eversmart for over 6 months. Does anyone know why this has come now? - Is there a chance Utilita are somehow transferring us away from out existing provider (without our permission) ?
Thanks in advance0 -
Best thing is to check with your current supplier.0

I emailed KPMG yesterday - they are the administrators of Eversmart and are supposed to be producing the information for Utilita. I have previously contacted Utilita who claim that they are still waiting for KPMG to supply the information. Doing some reading up on this nd it seems they are claiming it coud be six months or more before anyone gets any money back. Utilita claim that they will not be producing any bills for those switchd over to them befoe the end of the year.
My peronal thoughts are that any of us in credit should inform Utilita that we shall be charging them interest at a daily rate of 8% on outstnding monies - quite reasonable in my opinion if they want the use of my money. What do others think?0 -
I think we are at about the stage where Ofgem should be knocking a few heads together. They are the ones that appointed Utilita to take over from Eversmart and iIMO either them or Utilita should be badgering KPMG to get their fingers out to get it sorted. Six months is ridiculous.
TBH the Octopus takeover from IRESA was much better organised, this one just seems to be a shamblesNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
