A Question for Tory Supporters

I'm not a second homeowner. Therefore have no vested interest. However forcing BTL landlords to sell at to their tenants at at a fixed rate discount is going to alienate a lot of the population. Particularly as it forms part of their retirement planning.
Makes you wonder what other half baked ideas are in the pipeline.1 -
It's all sneaky and cynical politics with Corbyn, he behaves like everyone is just out to get him and that he has the monopoly on "being leader of good people.
Well after screaming for an election for so long now he is offered the chance to become the PM and change the world, cancel Brexit if he wants. But Oh no, he is "too clever for that and wants to thwart their plan"
The man will always be a protester and nothing more, he's an idiot0 -
Whole parliament is a disgrace. At this moment in time we should be united not divided.
Why should the EU give us anything. Oldest strategy it the world divide and conker.
I have voted conservative the last few times. The "in party" bickering is getting to much. But for me there is no alternative.
I am ashamed of MOST of the political parties.0 -

I am unsure of what they are actually proposing, it seems to be linked to properties that have not been adequately maintained. I don't that suppose that there is any real detail yet?
If we get lumbered with a Labour Gov I can't see investors rushing to invest in residential property, it has already been affected by the tax and other changes, but I can see plenty landlords selling up. I've already started selling, if we get a Labour Gov, I would probably accelerate that process. Surely this would cause a huge shortfall of available rental properties.
At the moment Labour are about 3/1 on betfair in the 'win the most seats' market.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Frankly I don't buy this 'there is no opposition I like therefore I'll carry on supporting someone I don't dislike as much' argument.
That is surely where you vote for another party, don't vote or even spoil your ballot?
Neither Labour or the Tories are the parties they were even 3 years ago, luckily my vote for Labour here was always wasted on a FPTP system anyway, so I'm voting LD as they have a realistic chance and support my brexit view.
Johnson is moving his party further and further into extremist territory to take the BXP vote, he is losing voters to a lesser extent to the Lds from the other part of traditional tory members/support any tory that doesn't agree with farage needs to jump ship right now.0 -

need a party that stands up and says things how they are. I would have voted LD but they sold there soul for some silver last time they were in power.0 -

Please correct me if I am wrong, but during the coalition, weren't Lib Dems promised a number of their agendas to be passed from the Tories? Then when it came to it, nothing happened.
So for me, it wasn't the fact that they didn't do what they wanted. They were lied to.0 -

My understanding is they gave up on some of there promises/agendas.
And if they were promised anything from the Tories they could have dragged there heals and withheld support.0 -

If the electorate had wanted pure Lib Dem policies they would have got a majority.
They didn't so they didn't, simple as that!0 -

Well yes I suppose it's down to who held out for longest.
I think they did the correct thing, without hindsight. They were promised some of their manifesto ideas being implemented. The Tories didn't allow it. LDs had two choices; play ball and continue to support and hope/influence to a small degree some of their pledges, or stop supporting anything. I think the latter would have done more damage. Parliament would have effectively stopped, nothing would get passed, the Tories (who still had the majority support), would have blamed the LDs.
As a long time Conservative supporter, I am finding them now too right for my liking. I previously overlooked how my own MP voted, as I did support a lot of the conservative manifesto. However with recent changes (more right), it's made me rethink my strategy.
Sites like isidewith are a brilliant example of how to turn your beliefs into a vote for a party.0
