Okay I take your point, unfortunately quite a few retailors have no real time stock control, so you may be right. Lets hope it isnt the case
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -
£181.99+£2.95 postage. Anyone know any gift codes? I wondered if there was a gift code that gives you 10% off? I have got as far as confirming the order and it says it will be delivered Wednesday. Dont want to miss out on a gift though (greedy huh!)

It's a bit ambiguous - all the blurb looks the same as the full-price one - but if it's the third generation one, you can get that from Apple for £169.00
... or a 30Gb photo (ie colour) for £248.990 -
can u point me in the direction of the 3rd gen photo from apple, been after one for a while?0
-
I don't think I meant 3rd gen photo. There are old 3rd gen ones on this page - prices lower than shown. I believe the later models have better battery life

When you select one, there is a 30Gb photo on that page; the other day there was a larger capacity one. Presumably you add this to the basket, then edit the basket and take the first one out.
Or, there was a recent thread on MSE about refurbs, which apparently opens only Wednesday - first come first served - so try that 10 am
http://promo.euro.apple.com/promo/refurb/uk/?&store_type=cons
And at the moment Scancom (phone dealer) have a 60Gb photo in their Bargain Bin for £270.24

I strongly suspect this is NOT the colour "Photo" version for four reasons:-
1) The picture shows the mono-screen version.
2) They do not name it as the iPod "Photo".
3) They give the option of a 20GB model (though not in-stock) - there has never been a 20GB colour iPod to my knowledge.
4) It states the battery life is up to 12 hours, which is the quoted battery life of the 40GB 4th gen mono-screen iPod. The 40GB colour iPod Photo has a quoted battery life of 15 hours!
There's the evidence, make your own conclusions...
