Boris seems to have found the magic money tree.0 -
I think its rather unfair to those who have paid in the full whack of NI contributions in the UK, moved to retire to France or Spain or the like and then not receive an uprated pension thereafter.
ISTR that UK pensioners in non-EU countries that don't have social security agreements with the UK don't get inflation increases.
If we leave with no-deal then we'd just be treating the EU like the rest of the world0 -

Fine, the UK Government could operate like France but they do not, they require reciprocal arrangements (rightly or wrongly), as evidenced by the Canada / New Zealand examples.0

My parents are ex-pats living in Spain and retired, they voted FOR Brexit due to immigration.

Many will probably choose to permanently hop back over the Channel and place additional strain on the NHS etc.
Unintended consequences once again, rather like the BBC licence fee debacle; Gus O'Donnell has pointed out that many pensioners are currently not claiming the pension credit to which they are entitled, and that the overall cost to the exchequer once they sign up will be greater than if the government had continued to fund licences for the over 75s.0 -

Sterling will buy approximately 20% less in other European countries now than it would have done in early 2016, and further significant falls can be expected shortly.0 -

'‘Les Brexites’ push Paris house prices through roof'
'Wealthy French families fleeing London amid concern over a hard Brexit have helped to drive Paris house prices to a record level.'
'Others would like to follow but were being held back by difficulties in selling homes in London.'
