I did the Aspie quiz on http://www.rdos.net/eng/, and scored 167/200 ...

I just did this one. Found some of the questions hard to understand.

Then I misunderstood the results as they were presented in a different way to what I expected.... so didn't realise for over 20 minutes what my score was.

    It gave me:
Your Aspie score: 162 of 200
    Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 32 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

I hate it when there are questions that need further clarification though.

e.g. this one: "Are you affected negatively by high air humidity combined with hot weather?"

Like how? I don't know what they mean. What is "hot"? I've never been anywhere hot...

Sometimes in summer, when the temperature shoots right up, and there's a thunderstorm due, I just flop in a heap. So I'd say 'yes' to that. Sometimes we get several days in a row where I'm all flopped ... worse when I can' t get fresh air: my office used to be windowless, and I felt dire all summer, but now we have Velux windows I'm a lot better.

    Does that help?

Oh my, I did the test on rdos.net and how confusing, I ended up getting one with the control questions were inconsitant so went in do it again. Did they deliberately make the questions confusing?? Writing them one way first and then another way 2nd so you think they are still asking it in the first way. Does that make sense??

    Anyway, I got this:
Your Aspie score: 124 of 200
    Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 90 of 200
You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits

I guess this is where my kids get their traits from, I did read this and saw lots of it in DH as well so it makes you wonder if we are too much alike! I definately saw lots of my DD and DS in the questions as well.

think i may have adult adhd, both my sons have it, and after reading a lot of books on the subject as well as stuff online, it certainly makes me think i have, also on tues night i went to an adhd support group, and there were young adults there that had been diagnosed as children, and the things they describe about the way they think, act etc, was just like me, but back in my day we never heard of it, just had to accept that i felt different
enjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)

Goodness me... if I had to spend an hour in a room with an ADHD person I'd be climbing the walls!

They're loud, unpredictable, noisy, ever-moving. No good at all!
They need doping up and roping down :)

Ah ... I was brought up in the countryside, then moved to the seaside. Not really experienced many days ever like that. The countryside and especially the seaside are more breezy.

I do find I can't do anything if I am in an office with no air. I remember a long time in the past I've been in offices like that. Can't do a thing. Have to be uncomfortable AND look like I am working, just willing away the time until I am allowed out.

I wonder if they're just written by non-aspies, who don't understand how precisely things have to be written, unless they've given full context and clarification.

    Pfft, a mere beginner :P

You need to twitch more and hide behind furniture if the clock tick tock is irregular.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

    Yes, it was a b*****.

When you get to the end, ignore the big writing in the table. Look at the top, in the smaller writing you actually get your score.

What is below/bigger/seems like the score, is simply the scores you would need to reach to be each of the types.

    Crazy!!

I guess it took me half an hour to realise.
