Has anyone who signed up using the MSE link in Feb had their £100 account credit yet?

What date in Feb,They pay around 90 days after your BB starts.
25th Feb so we are at 90 days, hopefully it will appear on my June 5th bill as my quidco has just been declined.

I thought you had to go through the MSE Link to get the the credit ,I may be wrong though.
Did both just in case, looks like hopefully the MSE bit won.
    I think....
  • Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and need some help pls.

In February 2021 I selected Shell Energy Superfast Fibre 12-month contract at £22.99 per month + £100.00 credit (effective £14.66/month) and signed up to the deal.

I also took the time to call Shell Energy to confirm the deal I signed up to, and Shell team member reassured me the deal will be honoured and confirmed this in an email requesting I call back at end of May to ensure the deal is processed.

So I recently called Shell Energy as agreed only to be told that the deal will not be honoured and referred me back to MSE.

    In summary:
    • I signed up to a £175.00 annual BB deal.
    • Shell wont honour this and are charging £283.88 per 12 month.

     Please can anyone help?

    Hi.
I used the link on this site to enroll with shell broadband advertised as £14.95 per month after the £150 cash back.
The cash back should arrive on or around 3 months after signing up

I haven't had it, and she'll are difficult to communicate with.
    Has anybody had cashback yet?

I signed up for the superfast broadband deal in February via mse. It offered £150 cashback on or around 3 months after signing up. The bill ranges from £22 to £27 per month, I don't have a phone so make no calls. Not sure why it changes so much?
Also, I'm a couple weeks past the 3 month mark and no credit as yet. I've asked in chat and been told "I can't check, but I'm sure you will get it"
So. Who do I ask, andwhem can I expect it?

Considering Martin negotiated the broadband deals with Shell Energy they must have known they would then get inundated with calls and should have taken on extra staff and had a set up of experienced call handlers to give a good service.
If your not happy with Shell Energy I'd direct my concerns to Martin himself to get them sorted as it's all his doing, he should have carried out due diligence before recommending them as a Broadband provider.

Sorry to hear of the way you have been treated. Lots of companies choose to go back on offers they made I don't think there is much you can do but leave or don't join them. Good luck

On a different note. I never knew that Shell were offering deals on broadband outside their Energy company. This I do find odd as existing customers do not receive these benefits, which is unfair.  I was with First Utility for gas/electric then they added broadband with TT at £27.99pm, the 35mbps fibre rate. I still use my home hub 5 from BT and all is well. Then Shell  Energy took over, but nothing has changed for now 2 years. Still the best service averaging around 30mbps download and 10mbps upload. A service from TT I cannot fault. Now I looked to see recently if I can get a better deal from TT and I cannot. The offer was from TT £23.99 for 18 months but then £35.99 thereafter. Stuff that,  I will stay with Shell.
I find it extremely hard to believe that Shell will offer such large amounts of cash just to take on new subscribers especially when they are dealing in tight budgets with a third party company, this does not add up. Maybe there is some print somewhere that has been overlooked.

Signed up using the MSE link in Feb (go lie was about 25th Feb), got my £100 on the latest bill dated 7 June.

Wondering if I should try and dispute the quidco decline ;)
    I think....
