    Have a great holiday badcat.

I'm starting the paid stuff shortly and have some home admin to do later but will try to look at list.

    Good morning

Back to work today but another pleased with yesterday's progress. I have 1 bag for cs, 1 bag of PE kit to go to school, a pair of nearly new football boots that will hopefully find a home to a friend soon, and a bag of paper for recycling / shredding. Including DD’s original school application when she was 4! Not sure I need that now she is 16...

Last night I caught up on looking at our spend whilst waiting to go out to pick DD up. It wasn’t a pretty sight so more looking and planning is needed.

The wm is on and DH is at home this morning so I will leave him to hang it out. Dinner is out of the freezer.

    Have a lovely holiday BadCat.

Busy day here too as going to work to set up for new workshops for this year. A bit worried as it's something new we're trying but very exciting. A challenge! Then away for 3 day weekend which will be busy as DD2 coming back from internship abroad on her way back to uni. No doubt with loads of washing and we'll be in our holiday/retirement house so WM isn't great and no TD so hope weather stays good. DD1 and her boyfriend will also be joining us as they're having a weeks holiday there next week. So fun but busy.

    Done today
    Up, showered and dressed
Bed made and clothes picked up
    Bathroom s/s
Kitchen put to bed last night so nice this morning
Recycling bin brought in, general one not emptied yet
    HHI
    WM

Now enjoying coffee and crumpets (6 in packet so will put last 2 in freezer for next week).

To do next before I go to work
    Pack for w/e
Find DD2 stuff to take for her
    Top up cat feeder
    Hoover round

    Have a nice day

    Morning All

Hope all the headaches disappear soon.

    Happy Holibobs all!

So far this morning I have wiped down the WM and TD, cleaned the kitchen floor, tidied the DR and made as much room as possible for getting the units through from the front door to the kitchen. The kitchen fitter is here, just waiting for the units.

Windscreen repair man is also here but because I've left the stonechip so long before having it done, I've got to have a new windscreen fitted so he's just doing that.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

Happy holidays, eveyone who's either on them a the moment, or just off on them.
Is it just me or does the back to school stuff seem to have come around very quickly this year?
Happy to report that we've now got enough tomatoes being produced by three tiny but very healthy tomato plants I bought at the cat rescue centre back in June are now producing more than enough for our daily needs. First time ever I've managed that and it's been a 25 year ambition.

New to me freezer (tiny little thing, badly needed to help with defrosting ours) all gassed up, tested overnight and the bowl of vinegar in it to reduce slightly whiffiness has frozen solid, so we know it works. I can start the main freezer defrost this morning. Good.

So, today, shower room and freezer and some serious web removal. There are festoons everywhere.
    Better is good enough.

    Morning

Wipe dining table - for the first time in the history of Roundtuit I can say 'I did this yesterday' :T :D

DS came in from work yesterday and said 'Wow Mum - you've been busy' as he hung up his coat :D I said 'I hoped that you would notice' and he laughed and said 'I'd have had to be blind not to. Mum' :T

I keep walking in to the kitchen and :). DS is also happy that I found a pair of chinos which he loved - and thought that he must have thrown out after a wild night at Uni. Ermmm nope - for some strange reason they were in a pile of coats on the table. They are now in the wash.

Going to crack on and clear the area around the table today, oh and wash the curtains that I found: then they can be hung in the kitchen.

H2H is s-l-o-w-l-y happening..... but there is sooooo much still to do :(

Roundtuit - it can't be in a worse state than mine!

Kitchen is currently being delivered so by the end of the weekend I should have a kitchen!

Now that corner of the kitchen is coming together everywhere else looks worse than ever. Such a big contrast, but heyho, the house didn't get like this in a day, and it's not going to be fixed in a day.... or a week..... or a month....maybe several months will do it! Said she, hopefully.

Going to peg out the first load of washing - cloudy, but Mr Weatherman says it's not going to rain, so I'm going to wash those 'found' curtains too.

Positive kitchen building vibes heading your way Jue xx

 Morning all - we're home from our short but much-needed and very enjoyable holiday, staying in an excellent B&B and with lazy days out on the hills, on another heritage railway and at various NT and EH properties, with a pub meal each evening. The winner for the best cakes and scones goes to The Bog Visitor Centre :)

It was lovely to come in to a clean and tidy house, and DH has even sorted out his own clothes for washing, put the still-clean ones away and brought his bag upstairs ready to re-fill it with things he needs for the gym today -on doctor's orders, he'll be going 3 times every week for the next 6 months :D

It was good to see Lame Wolf posting x

Brilliant progress, round! :T:T:T (and I like your new signature line).

Enjoy your new kitchen, juliejim - and have a hug from me too x

Hope all the headaches have gone now.

So far this morning I have
    - had a lie-in
    - checked the online banking
    - written DD's birthday card (she's 43 today, but they are still on holiday in Greece)
    - written a review of the place where we stayed (excellent all round)
    - answered some other emails

    Now I need to
    - post DD's card
    - do a big food shop
    - call at the sorting office for 2 parcels
    - spend the afternoon in the garden
    - take Rosie for a walk in the woods - she had a lovely time on holiday but had to be kept on a lead for most of it. When I took her out for a walk yesterday evening, she celebrated by running rings round her friend Monty and chasing him up and down the lane. He is only 2 years old but tired of it sooner than she did!
    - go to choir practice this evening

    Back later...
