Even if someone wants cash to avoid them paying tax, that's of no concern to the person paying.
Businesses are legally allowed to pick and choose whichever payment methods they prefer and if someone wants to run a cash only business, that's up to them.

That's how it works. Give your customers some grace to pay. Works for me which is why they aren't on here upset someone is demanding they drive to the cash machine the second a service is rendered.

How do you even consider this comparable... you say you ‘run 4 businesses’, however most tradesmen live from job to job.0 -
my dads a electrician if its a small job like changing a lights or sockets always gets paid on the day if hes subcontracting to another contractor or an full rewire of a house then 14 day payment terms0

But, he sets the payment terms, not you. So if you weren't savvy enough to agree payment terms upfront, pay him his dues.
This is only because big businesses have the clout to be able to expect their customers to be a bank and grant them credit

I always love telling late payers
I can spend my time chasing your for money or I can spend my time giving you first class service but I will not do both and you choose which it is to be.
The jackass who took your view had a weekday only support contract and called on a Saturday found out why it was not such a good idea.
Any of my prompt payers who do not treat me like a bank would have been looked after.
Any small business who subcontracts to us gets paid on the same day as they invoice.0
