    Utterly ridiculous. He finished the job to your satisfaction. It's not his fault you don't have the money. You should have made sure you had it by the time of completion, just like the first job he did for you

    Maybe your instance to pay cash rather than a bank transfer. Saves you both a trip to the hole in the wall. ;)

    Probably not, but how about answering the question asked by holly days rather than evading if by asking another question.

    Even if someone wants cash to avoid them paying tax, that's of no concern to the person paying.
    Businesses are legally allowed to pick and choose whichever payment methods they prefer and if someone wants to run a cash only business, that's up to them.
