Happy wednesday,
A quiet day today, resting from a busy working weekend. I've had two unexpected emails regarding temporary roles but sadly had to turn both down as they are too far.... 2 hrs travelling time eeek!!
As for my spending - so far doing ok. Thankfully no big items this month so trying to keep a low profile and possibly buy one or two christmas presents. Right now though I'm needing washing machine capsules and white vinegar (to clean with). I try to buy these in bulk as much as I can so I'm looking around the net for the best prices.2025 financial goals & challenges!

You can get a trial for a quid
Trial ordered this morning for £1!! Hope they come in time - I'm down to my last 5 capsules I think
Today I've also applied for the M&S current account for the 5% reg saver. My current Nationwide reg saver matures on the 31st Oct and I'm trying my hardest to get this set up before M&S pulls the product (not heard they are just that every other bank is culling pretty much any 'reasonable' savings account). I'm also thinking about setting up the Santander one too and using a bit of the money from the Nationwide reg saver to pay off one of my debts.
Also had a chat with the recruitment agency I had monday's interview through. Well I thought the interview was a bit dodgy but sounds like I've not yet been discounted and other candidates the agency had also put forward were discounted so I might actually get a second interview  Now I am feeling nervous!
Spending the rest of the day planning for my first module exam and I should start looking at potential interview preparation in case I do get asked for an interview. Next week is half term and its harder to focus with the kids.2025 financial goals & challenges!

happy evening,
Its been a fairly quiet day. I went food shopping this morning to Lidl and bought a bit more than was on my list but I think I made some good buys such as large pack of beef mince, total bill £35 and shrapnel! . Its that big I split the pack in half and frozen them for future meals. I also made chicken curry, brown rice and red cabbage meals for this weekend for me and my partner for work.
Met up with a couple of my mum friends and it was a bit last minute so went out on my push bike. Its the first time i have used the bike in years (literally!). It was fun and definitely plan to use it again.
I'm going to start the weekend on a high and do an hour of my studying... I'm not the most organised student and work around the other things going on in my life. I really do need to get a study plan together. Anyway I am happy I am getting back into it. I've been a bit up and down with it but still making progress.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Its taken all day to write an update to my diary... school holidays have a lot to answer for lol!! The wet weather was rubbish - we pretty much stayed indoors all day apart from a brief walk to the park at 5pm. Was meant to be accompanying my partner to his night job just for fun for the kids - they enjoy the train ride but the youngest has been a typical toddler all day so that was quickly scrapped.
So I havent heard back from last monday's interview. I was meant to hear on friday and nothing today so I have decided its a NO. Its a shame but I just didnt think I was strong enough on the experience and knowledge for this one sadly. I'm not too fussed with job hunting atm as my work is paying overtime upto christmas so i'll just stick with that and focus on my studies instead.
So today I booked my train tickets for thurs day trip to meet my new baby niece which is really exciting. I received through the post the trial washing machine capsules which is exciting and was accepted for the M&S current account. So hopefully all goes to plan and I get to open the 5% reg saver before its culled. This week is payday so that will be good to chip a bit more off the debts. With my overtime I am not sure how much i'll get paid.2025 financial goals & challenges!
