Why is dealer being awkward about vehicle collection?

Yes or no. That would be much clearer. Also of course implies its more of an agreement than past tense of something that has happened.Supersonos wrote: »The question:
The answer:
I'm really not sure how it could be any clearer.
So again, for clarity: have you got the deposit back?0 -

I disagree. It's more a case that people on this forum don't believe a lot of what someone says.
If you read the words I've written without thinking I'm lying/hiding something, you've got the answer you're looking for.So again, for clarity: have you got the deposit back?
Like this. You know I wouldn't have the deposit back in my account just two days after cancelling - especially considering it's a bank holiday - so why are you even asking?0 -
Good - you have confirmation from them (in writing - email is OK) that they'll return 100% of your deposit. All sorted then.

Oh ... you mean all you have is a verbal assurance? Oh dear.
Tick your option.

Of course you could using an electronic transfer.0 -

Here we go... people looking to find problems, create arguments and revel in others potential misfortune.
I came on here to ask why the dealer might be being awkward, and then, of my own volition, came back to give an update. I'm not worried about the returning of my deposit.0 -
The answer is no you haven't. Oh dear. Hopefully you do get it back. By the sounds of it you should but until the money is in your hand/bank you haven't got it.Supersonos wrote: »I disagree. It's more a case that people on this forum don't believe a lot of what someone says.

Why was that so difficult?0 -

Where's the misfortune? You're getting all of your money back.
All I did was state you could have had your money back straight away.0 -

Welcome to the motoring forum. It's a cesspit, but there are the occasional nuggets of good advice bobbing about in it

OK - as you're patently unwilling to confirm you've had written confirmation that the contract has been cancelled and you're getting all your deposit back, it's fair to assume that your assertion of "Of course" means that you only have a verbal assurance ... in which case good luck - you may need it.
I hope you don't, and everything goes well, but I fear you may be being a bit too blase about it.0 -

If I have any problems I'll be sure to go and ask in the consumer rights forum.0
