Is the £27k standard salary or is this after OT?
Not that it matters, if them as a couple are on circa £40k and are struggling, then they need to have a good hard look at themselves.0 -
If you google his AE username you'll find some very interesting reading :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

Plod pensions are good thats why we havent got any and they all go at 55 along with alot of others in the public sector.
Do you a job where you risk your life for the safety of the public?
Maybe considering the recent news about a murdered young ‘plod’ who didn’t make 30 let alone 55, you should wind your neck in a bit and get over yourself?0 -

Why would they need to do that? You don't know how much they pay out in various things. The 37k would have tax deducted.0 -

But you make choices on how much you pay for things like housing, cars etc based on what you earn.
Im well aware it will have tax deducted, but its still a decent amount to have a fairly decent standard of living.
One of my mates will have a joint income around the same level, and have a ton of debt yet they still manage to get away 3 times a year to Spain.0 -

Lucky him, is he on the never, never. Depending where you live rent alone can be a big chunk, never mind council tax.0 -
