Just having a break from the dreaded floor! I don't know what the problem is - I think they've been there that long they're refusing to move!
I won't be able to move tomorrow - my back's in 2 as it is.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

It occurs to me I haven't been on here for a few weeks - life still manic; Mr Wolf is hanging on in there now he has his proper medication, but I am concerned about some memory glitches he seems to be having of late.
Up to my eyes with the dog-sitting; I've had nose-to-tail canine guests all summer, and this continues right up to the first week in November! Current guest is an absolute love, Lab/GSD cross, and one of the kindest, politest dogs I've ever come across.
Awaiting PIP review, which is stressful in the extreme, and struggling like hell to stop the bungalow descending into middendom, hence the lack of MSE time.
Anyways, I'd logged on o reply to another thread I thought I'd relevant info for, and figured I'd pop my head round the door.
Back when I can.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Good to hear from you, Wolfie.
Acquired one of Himself's mates yesterday and overnight as he has been asked to mix some recordings for him. Unfortunately, mate has just found out that he's had around three strokes and has limited use of his right side - for a professional musician, and one who's only 46, I can't even imagine his emotions right now. Anyhow, I don't think he was confident enough to navigate public transport at night, so he stayed over.
Himself left with him to go to the train station over an hour ago and there's been no word. So I'm a bit worried, in case mate is in trouble.
There is a fresh loaf baking in the BM and once he's back, I should have the lemon I need to make some blackberry, elderflower and lemon jam that's sitting in the pan waiting to go.
All rooms except the studio are sorted (that looks like it's just been hit by a tornado bomb - one containing wine, beer, vodka, cigarettes and crisps [frowns deeply]).
I would have been happier had Himself said 'I'm going to travel back with him', as at least then, I wouldn't be quite so uneasy about this.
I think I'm going to have a cuppa and try to distract myself for a while.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

DH has come home from work and has taken over while I walked the dog. I'm going to have a soak in the bath!
Thanks Jojo - DH is using the steamer and scraper at the moment.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Evening all,
Just having a little sit down, have not stopped all day!
I have...
Done full day of paid stuff
Cleaned bathroom and ensuite
Vac right through including two flights of stairs
Dropped off parcels to post office
Collected wedding gift from Mr jL
Wrapped gift
Emptied and washed litter trays
Emptied and washed all bins
Done admin for our time away... printing tickets and things
Laundry dried, folded and away
Been and had my nails done
Hemmed trousers as I realised that even with heels on they were just too long!!
This evening I just need to reset the kitchen after supper, have a bath and pack my bag. Fortunately we are not leaving at silly o clock so won’t have to rush in the morning.
Sending hugs and good wishes to all. I will be back for next weeks thread! X0 -
Lovely to hear from LW, glad you are busy with the canine guests.
I have been to the opticians, I need varifocals (sadly got to that age) and because I have this weird eye condition I cant get away with cheap lenses. I have spent £402 .. yes four hundred and two pounds .. on a pair of glasses. I dont actually have £402 spare but handed over the debit card like I didnt have a care in the world. Some financial juggling is needed I think.
Other than that, some paid stuff, some flying, a meeting about a voluntary project that I really dont have time to be involved in.
Ooh and collecting A level results tomorrow, DS is worried, too late to be worried now!0 -
So today I have
caught up with the ironing
folded a washload ready to peg out tomorrow
put towels in machine for next washload
cleaned kitchen
cleaned bathroom
stripped and remade my bedDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Morning all,
Good luck to all the students collecting results today, fingers crossed for your DS YL xxx ouch to the glasses cost xx
I slept so well last night, woke up at 5.45 thinking I had to be somewhere then had that glorious feeling it's the holidays still :j
No firm plans for today other than getting the laundry up to date. We may catch the bus to the retail park as there are a few things I could do with getting, I specifically want to stock up on birthday cards for the coming months.
It felt really autumnal here last night, I had candles lit and was all cosy under the blanket watching a movie, it was lovely.
Right cuppa time have lovely days all xx0
