Law on brake checking someone

Yes. Mimis are getting more common. I just trust the dash and rear cam, send it to the police and let them decide to prosecute. Just cought a Mimi pulling out in front of a car behind me, speeding up to my rear bumper, tailgating me because driving at the speed limit was not fast enough. Overtaking on a blind bend into oncoming traffic forcing them close to the pavement to the shock of pedestrians watching, cutting me up then violent 'brake testing'. No provocation. I provided video evidence of my whole journey to demonstrate no provocation took place. The result could possibly be a long ban and re-test. If I had hit the car after the 'brake test' he would probably be looking at a custodial. You have far too much faith in the protection offered by a dash cam(virtually none).
I had no protection before. Astonishly I've had 2 cars written off by dangerous drivers (wrong side of the road and side swiped. Left for dead on one occasion. Perpetrators never caught. Long story......
4 rear end collisions whilst either stationary in a queue or waiting at a junction. Hilariously the response from the perpetrators is generally "it wasn't me!". Never had a claim go against me.
Although a dash am offers no protection I now know the Police act on the information it provides and justice does take place.0 -

Be fair to the new person & give them the real answer.....

I was giving a possible reason for the seemingly incorrect assumption. Quite why I need admonishment from yourself, I'll have to try and work out.0 -

Thank you for offering your support. I don't believe any further comments are necessary. I'm just an ordinary guy who's had some pretty bad life experiences over the last 50 years or so. Just offering some comments.0 -
