West Midlands have an online site where you can submit dashcam footage. Not sure if any other forces have a similar thing.
    I'll take a look.

Granted, my incident wasn't like the one you just linked to. Nobody was hurt & we could all 'get on with life'.
But this guy clearly has a screw loose. All that leaning out of the window. I could understand if i'd glued myself to his bumper but i really didn't. I ask myself if the roles were reversed and we were each other would i have been Pd off? No. I'd have thought ok i've pulled a bit of an idiot move there by pulling out but that's it.

Just a couple of taps this week but next week could be a full on slam on on someone. Reversing in to someone at a set of lights.

well post it on the relevant police force facebook page and forget about it. It could be that the chap you encountered is a persistent offender and a danger to others.

So post it and move on. The police maybe more interested than others think. I reported someone chucking a whole load of MacDonalds rubbish out their car and the police had a word with the person.

Rubbish. If you weren't close to the car in front they cannot brake check you. And with regards to racking feel free to consult the HSE. Drive better, work safer.

Seems to be a thing though this brake checking, and general temper tantrums.
    Couple of things lately:
One I was brake checked by an idiot after similar to the OP happening. I was far too close when this idiot pulled out, and I dared to sound my horn. Not a blast either, just an "Oy I'm here" He braked right down and was gesticulating wildly. I'd left a good gap by then assuming he was an idiot, and I didn't really give a toss about his tantrum so it defeated the object really.
I can only assume that he couldn't be in the wrong.
And guess what it was a "Premium German make"

The other was a young bloke in a van. He was actually pulling out, being apparently oblivious to me coming towards him. Again, tooted him so he didn't pull out.
He was literally jumping up and down.
    Why?

Same happened to me the other day. Driving along our lane at 20mph, like the limit says, and a car appears at the blind junction on the left. Now I know it is really awkward to see out of until half the car is across the road, so I avoid coming out of it, and it doesn't look like he is stopping, so I toot my little horn- "bip bip!" I go, the car (oddly, now you mention it, it was a "premium" german make, in black) stops, and I continue past, then behind me he is blowing his horn, flashing his lights and screaming obscenities that I can hear with the windows shut.

    Why???

Next time I plow straight into the side of him, and trust the dashcam ;)
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

    Ok let's paint a scenario...

You're walking along. As your next footstep is about to put you level with me on my side i sidestep and stand in front of you.

Now is it your fault for being too close to me??
Or is it my fault for being an idiot and stepping out as you're getting so close to me?

Can't have it both ways so which will your answer be?

Fortunately for you guys, i have the answer
It's because we live in a me-me-me society. I can do what i want, i can have what i want, i can do and and have it when i want, F everyone else and you can all get out of my way because i'm the only one in this world that matters and none of you do. Don't even dare think about telling me i did wrong because you'll get a punch square in the face ... because i'm never wrong and can do what i want.

Your story reminded me of an incident i had probably about 7-8 years ago now, maybe a bit more. This guy nailed it out of a petrol station. Weirdly he was also driving a premium German make.

    I sense a trend.

Anyway i tooted the horn. It wasn't a toot like the wife would do where you'd barely hear it like you'd brushed it but it didn't last all day either. It was about a second.

He pulls in at the junction which we immediately pass so i drive on by. Thing is he only pulled in to allow me past. He then proceeds to hug my bumper. I don't just mean he drove pretty close, i mean i could barely see his bonnet never mind his number plate. You'd have probably struggled to get a sheet of paper between us. God knows how he didn't touch me. I didn't dare slow down never mind touch brakes. He was weaving crazy left and right, flashing his lights.

I looked in the rear view and the car was pretty much full. They all had hi-viz vest type things on & looked like big burly builder/HGV driver type guys. Yeah i know that's stereotyping .... shoot me.

This carried on for a few miles until i got to a roundabout. I went round it a couple times and then back the way i came. He got bored and drove off. Probably the scariest time i've had behind a wheel.

Lots of awkward places around here to pull out, and you have to stick your nose out in some to see. Most people if they get a polite toot say thanks, as we all know how awkward it can be. This bloke was just pulling out though, not edging to have a look.
As said, both of mine were "Mimis" I reckon.
    Me, me, me, me, me.

I'd drive around you or apply my brakes, it's not difficult. Drive better, avoid these situations.
