I get your point but your conclusion isn't necessarily true. Whether the gap increases or decreases depends on the relative speeds of the two vehicles. The car in front could be accelerating but still not have reached the speed of the decelerating car behind. (Think of a tortoise accelerating, whilst a jet fighter approaches it from behind, slowing down. Will the gap close or not?). It depends therefore on the initial speeds of both vehicles as well as their respective rates of change of speed.0

well post it on the relevant police force facebook page and forget about it. It could be that the chap you encountered is a persistent offender and a danger to others.
So post it and move on. The police maybe more interested than others think. I reported someone chucking a whole load of MacDonalds rubbish out their car and the police had a word with the person.
Great post. The police are interested. Multiple reports would result in some action to change their behaviour.0 -
Lots of awkward places around here to pull out, and you have to stick your nose out in some to see. Most people if they get a polite toot say thanks, as we all know how awkward it can be. This bloke was just pulling out though, not edging to have a look.
As said, both of mine were "Mimis" I reckon.
Me, me, me, me, me.
Yes. Mimis are getting more common. I just trust the dash and rear cam, send it to the police and let them decide to prosecute. Just cought a Mimi pulling out in front of a car behind me, speeding up to my rear bumper, tailgating me because driving at the speed limit was not fast enough. Overtaking on a blind bend into oncoming traffic forcing them close to the pavement to the shock of pedestrians watching, cutting me up then violent 'brake testing'. No provocation. I provided video evidence of my whole journey to demonstrate no provocation took place. The result could possibly be a long ban and re-test. If I had hit the car after the 'brake test' he would probably be looking at a custodial.0 -

Turtles don't accelerate too good and jets don't brake no good.;)
Ooh, I disagree: turtles accelerate to their maximum velocity in about 0.01secs, that's pretty impressive. And jets can fly at 1500mph and still decelerate to land on an aircraft carrier 300m long - good braking there!0 -

Do they not dangle a hook off the back of the aeroplane that catches a big piece of string tied round the masts or something? I doubt very much if they have brakes that can shave off 1500mph in 300mI want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
