Heya all, am back properly now as I have internet installed in my new flat today.... Typical, I have several strapping young men (and Virgins at that :rotfl: ) in my flat and I had to be in work so my sister got the pleasure! Sometimes life just isn't fair!!! :rotfl:
I'm now on a strict budget so will be back to OS with a vengeance! Flat is still cluttered up by boxes, empty and full, and need a few bits of furniture before I can empty them. Sadly, finances won't permit any purchases until payday next week so I have to live with the mess
:grouphug: to all who are feeling pants, but an extra special :grouphug: to those who have children who are acting upI used to act up with my mum when I was younger and was hideous to the point that my parents made me see a behaviour counsellor. I hated it/her soooo much that I behaved just so that I didn't have to see her again :rotfl: it was only a few weeks ago that mum and I had a conversation about it all and apologised to each other and finally understood each others' point of view. Ain't hindsight a wonderful thing!!!
Anyway, take care all - its nice to see the old (as in familiar, not wrinkly) faces around, and of course :hello: to the newbies too xxx

How is everyone?
Aston had his check today and he is doing brilliant, she weighed and messured him and he's above the average height for his age and below the average weight for his age, which seeing as he eats like a man means he's gonna be tall and slim, just like his dad.
I made cheese and potato pie this evening, after seeing on yesterdays thread i was crving it, it was lovely, i put bacon on it too

Evening all,
Well, OH was still in a strop when I came down this morning - I told him to move on, because I had - today was a new day and I refuse to argue about something that happened yesterday. Well that sent him into an even worse temper because he hadn't had a chance to have a go at me and make me feel like scum.
Anyway, then I got a phone call from an agency saying did I want to work today? Yes please :j. It was only moving boxes off a conveyor onto pallets but I quite enjoyed it. Hopefully I will get more work next week.
OH's parents have been round in our absence and left us a bag of tags to sign (it seems they have already bought all the families gifts from 'us'). I have mixed feelings about this - yes, it is a lovely kind thoughtful gesture as we are going through so much stress atm....but I did actually have Xmas under control and had already bought a couple of gifts. I quite enjoy Christmas shopping and would prefer to do my own. It's ok, I'll just mention it to them at some point, as I don't want this to be a recurring event every year.
So, apart from that, nothing else has happened here. Got the door for the fire fixed yesterday (the plate holding the glass in place had come away).
Hm, anyway, I'ld better stop blabbing on. Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hello everybody1
Welcome Pollyanna
Mrs Mix...thinking of you
Nelski, Shez...glad you both enjoyed Dublin.
Blairweech...hugs
Kiwichick...happy birthday...hope that it was a good one.
Roz_V...welcome back
Donnygal...wouldn't dare offer advice as I have been dithering about my own kitchen for ages and remodelled it thousands of times in my head, so not really any use to anyone.
Nicola...glad that you are still hanging on...DD2 is due 5th February so will be thinking of you whenever I talk to her
Twit...hope that your repair bill doesn't go through the roof...hate that kind of thing coming near to Christmas.
Am now lost, so hugs to everyone else who posted to-day, to those who lurked and didn't post, and to those in need of a hug for whatever reason

Hi hun.:hello:
It's clear:D
I haven't had cheese and potato pie for ages.
I used to make something called pauper's pie - because it was very cheap - and it was baked beans on the bottom of the dish, then sliced onion, mash, sprinkle of cheese, beans, onion, mash and cheese on top. It was lovely:drool:
Glad to hear Aston's doing well.
