Goooood morning everyone! Off to get the sticky...........
Up early and having a quiet few minutes before the Small Penguins come down. Day off today, so planning lots of baking (Lumberjack cake, bread rolls, coffee cake) :j  :T and possibly some housework

Happy Birthday to kiwichick :bdaycake: Belated Birthday wishes to Hester :bdaycake: Congrats to Hilstep  Welcome to Aston's Mum :j
Crikey - just been reading yesterday's thread - some of you did stay up late   The site crashed for me around 9:30, so I switched off my computer
Mrs Mix - best wishes for today
Haribo - think I see some dust - your visitors are bound to notice
:rotfl:
Grannybroon - there's already a great thread on pictures of kitchens - Where the OS magic happens.
DD and I weighed out the Christmas pudding ingredients last night, so I'll be steaming them (inside the Rayburn) today. Want to weigh out for some mincemeat, too. Potato bake and baked apples for tea, then out to choir - it's our first concert next week
Have a great day, Penny. x
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Well done Pen-Pen...I'm using OH's laptop and I didn't trust it when no daily was showing.
I need to get my business accounts sorted today.....grim.....
Hoping for a better day today, yesterday morning on my way home from school, I saw a cat being hit by a car. I stopped and phoned the number on the collar tag, poor little thing was badly injured and died.
Managed to flag down 2 passing policemen and got them to contact the council etc.
Then I had a call from the owner and had to explain to her what had happened.
Oh well, enough of my misery, think I'll drive home a different way today.
Hester....happy birthday for yesterday....
Hugs to all.

Another cold and dark morning, roll on Summer
Tring to empty my freezer, as we are replacing the kitchen in the New Year, so there will be some interesting dinners coming up
Sorry, but I have to mention I'm a Celebrity, did anyone expect Mark to go ? The look on his face when he realised his girlfriend knew everything that had gone on - I think they genuinely forget that they are being filmed.
Sold a postcard on Ebay yesterday for over £40, so will be looking around for more to list
Oh well, time to hit the fields with the dog, have a good day everyone and :grouphug: to everyone needing one xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Feeling well again today - horrible weather to wake up to though - wet and miserable. Today am doing my dailys this morning then an hour or so of office work. Need to go to another village later for some birthday cards which I need to post today so OH is coming and we will treat ourselves to lunch in our favourite cafe if we can get in.
No idea whats for dinner again - will go and look in the freezer - we are slowly clearing it.

Happy Birthday to kiwichick
tired mum (((hugs))) to you and yours. What a rough time you seem to be having. No wonder you have no energy. Hope things improve on all fronts soon.
charlies mum what kind of postcard did you sell? £40 is a fantastic amount for a piece of card - it must be very special.
:hello: and hugs to those missing in action - JackieO, racy red, smokybabe, anniestar, and many, many others. Hope you are all well and please visit soon.
W**k today at job no 2. I need to leave early though (:j ) as DS has an orthodontist appointment to get his retainers. Another busy day ahead.
Like charlies mum and essex-girl I will be emptying the freezer so there may be a few odd combinations being served in the booklover household over the next few weeks.
Roofers are here finishing the job. I need another day or night of rain when they have finished to make sure that the roof is leakproof. I know, I know, I shouldn't be asking for more rain but I'm paying such a lot of money that I want to make sure that they have got to the root of the problem.
Have a thrilling Thursday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

It was an old UK postcard, I didn't think it was anything special, and nearly didn't list it

No, he didn't as his girlfriend was so upset, she came straight back to the UK. He said he wanted to come straight back, but I'm not sure whether his contract will let him. I feel really sorry for her, she was really nice when she was interviewed. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
