Read the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, about set asides and defending a claim.Read the Announcement covering the Defence template. Start thinking about your defence should the set aside be granted. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You can get a witness statement from any material witness to the event that supports your defence. Make sure it is signed under the latest statement of truth.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2

Also, as @Redx points out, he thinks VCS issue PENALTY charges!
If it's Parking , the MP should reply and am why VCS are issuing Parking charge notices instead of penalties , under what legal authority are they allowed to issue either of them , and why do they issue a parking charge notice and not a penalty notice. Plus are they issuing it under bylaws or Civil contract laws ?
Is it because they are not allowed to impersonate a legal authority ? So not like a council for example , or the police ?
They have well signed on the road that it is prohibited parking. I went and double checked at the time. 😔😏@redx
It’s a Parking Charge Notice. I have been in touch with the late MP of Southend. I have now contacted the current MP explaining everything. Can anyone advise me if I can get a statement from the MP for my defence? I believe that many of the public already reported to this and hence may be a statement from him benefits?0 -
Your witness statement is written by you as you are applying for a set-aside; read some threads written by others who are in the same position as you; also read the posts by @henrik777 that I pointed you to. Your husband can provide a witness statement for the underlying claim when that resurfaces.

Dear all,
I spoke to the CCBC and gave me two options, pay the full amount or set aside. He told me if the set aside judgement delay after the 18/3/22 and if the judgement is not in my favour then it will be in my records for 6 years. He was saying it best to pay the full amount £726.08 before 18/3/22.Please advise?0 -

I have time till 18/3/22, should I apply for set aside or not pay? I purely couldn’t respond as I was out of the country for a month. I do not want it affect my credit score.0
