The wedding was lovely; the B&B was absolutely superb, a 17th century farmhouse, tastefully decorated. Anyone needing a B&B near Mobberley, Manchester Airport I would happily recommend.
Had a lazy day but have stripped and remade DS's bed and put ironed washing away.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Had a full on anxiety attack this afternoon. All over a small thing that really isn't an issue at all in the grand scheme of things but in my catastrophising brain it's a disaster.
I am going to call the doctors in the morning for an appointment as I cannot go on like this x0 -
Fingers crossed for an early appointment for you, asb xx
Wow, what a result, Jazee :T:j:T:j
DH and I went out to lunch at our favourite local NT property and bumped into DGD1+2, DDiL1 and her sister - so we all had ice creams (Rosie had a special doggy one)
I have done quite a few bits off my list, plus several extras, and the washing is dry - only 1 item needs ironing. I will do that plus some more sorting of papers while I watch WDYTYA.0 -
I hope you get your appointment, asb.
Good news on the cat front, badcat.
Well done Jazee! DH matched your Ernie win today but unfortunately not your HMRC result. HMRC however did manage to make my working day more stressful than necessary. I’ve now decided to go in tomorrow which is really my day off. I figure it might be better for me to try to catch up a bit rather than sit at home imagining the as yet unsorted piles of work on my desk. At least I will get paid for the extra hours which will be useful. Finances here have been going out of control lately, so it’s time to get a grip again.
I’ve managed level 1 today, plus I’ve cleaned the microwave, set the dw running and done the last load of washing from our week away.
I’ve made a list of 6 jobs that I want to get done this week to see if I can manage that rather than looking at a long list. So this evening I have wrapped DSiL’s birthday present (bought last month when I spotted a bargain :money:) and written her and my niece’s cards so that they are ready for when we see them at the weekend. A small job but one off the list.
Just having a cuppa then I’m looking at an early night with my book. Yes - another flylady who had a rubbish night’s sleep last night.0 -
A reasonably productive day:
Put away all clothes etc from weekend away.
Went to gym.
Went to Tesc*.
Froze some yellow stickered apricots.
Did level 1 in kitchen.
Watered greenhouse.
emailed Uni to let them know when I want to work in the new term.
Did a number of other admin tasks, most of which took longer than expected. I now have boarding pass and labels printed off for the forthcoming cruise with my Mum. Sent her detailed (i.e. simple) instructions on how to navigate the web site so she could enter her information.
Juggled a complicated 4-person communication regarding a meal out for Mr N's birthday: I was at home, Mr N was at the care home with a mobile, friend 1 was at a funeral with a mobile, friend 2 was at home with land line and mobile. Talk about Chinese whispers! Anyway, eventually 3 of us went for the meal and were able to use my £30 Tesc* voucher which expires this week.
Got home to 2 phone messages from my mum. 1 to say she was having trouble with the travel web site; another 10 mins later to say she'd done it all and printed off her labels. Phew.
Read carefully a long and detailed email from my brother who may visit this weekend, overlapping with my mum and possibly BIL so that should be fun to organise (although pleasant).
Poor Mr N had a difficult afternoon with his mum; he was greeted with "I'm glad you've come to take me away from this place, they are stealing my things". He explained that her clothes were taken to the laundry at the home frequently. She said "oh you'll believe anything they say; you're simple". Lucky I wasn't there or I'd have hit her. He took her back to her room and showed her some newly washed clothes which had been returned. She was adamant she'd "be no trouble if I came and lived with you" yeah right, old semi with no downstairs facilities, steep stairs, no staff........... Fortunately Mr N, suspecting an impending UTI, fetched the care manager who sat down and said "hello * how are you, are you happy here?" "Oh yes it's very nice.".........sigh. Carer sat with them for 10 mins and all was fine.
I now just need to do a bit on my course as I'm way behind as usual.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Morning all
Washing started, cats and me both fed and watered. I’m off for a quick swim before work this morning...
Back later xx0 -
Morning all.
I've checked banking and the dogs and I are just having breakfast. Cleaning at the sports club today and dance class but will fit in as much flying as I can.
Need to share something naughty with you, avert eyes now if easily offended. Went to see Blinded by the Light yesterday (thanks mse). The reconstruction of the eighties is great apart from the lampposts, right down to all the cars, including one in which I lost my you know what. Couldn't say anything to DH as he never owned that car.
Anyhow, have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Swim done, kitchen s/s, cats cuddled. Time to start paid stuff.
Have a fab day all x0 -
Lol Jazee!
Narco - where she is is safe. That's what matters. You've done the right thing.
Two WM loads of bedding on line.
DW x 1.
Bright and sunny here at present. Benny is off to the vets shortly.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
