Congratulations on getting mobile again, Kazwookie.
Well done on dealing with all of you piles, Valli. (I haven't.)
Round, I echo joining a union. As soon as you go back keep a diary of incidents that you find upsetting; very brief notes will suffice. If there's a pattern that will help your case if you launch a Grievance with the union's support.
Both letting rooms ready, nearly all of the house vacuumed (OH did the middle layer and the bottom six stairs - I heart OH), I've swept and washed the kitchen floor, sorted out the fridge, and there are three WM loads drying on the line. Dog walked.
All I need to do now is finish the stairs and scrub a bit of carpet that's needed it for over a year.Better is good enough.0 -
Hi all
Been out and about for a few hours, nice walk and a picnic, then the rain started so we came back. Called in to shop for cat food, washing done but it’s on the airer as it is throwing it down again here. I am just catching up on here then I am going to make some cake, also need to sort out pack ups etc for tomorrow. OH will hopefully do the ironing as it would be good to get that cleared.
Enjoy the rest of your day all x0 -
Done and done, and did the bathroom as well.
Very glad I just checked the weather forecast for tomorrow - there's now a yellow warning about a thunderstorm for this evening, so whatever isn't dry by 7.00 pm is going to have to come in. That wasn't forecast this morning!Better is good enough.0 -
Have helped (ie nagged him) DS clean/clear out his wardrobes. he now has an organised suit/shirt wardrobe and the other is 'casual'. 3 bags leaving *fling* and numerous bank statements/payslips shredded *fling*.
Ideally I want to pull the units out and clean behind them, but they need to be emptied for safety first (that would be my safety).
Anyway when I do do it it will be easier.
But it won't be tomorrow as I'm off to my sisters.
And I'm cross with myself - I've bought tickets for a show in Leicester (with DD) on the same date I'm going to one here (with mum & sis).Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Ironing done
We went to a surprise 50th Birthday party yesterday. It took some doing. DS2 went on the attack after I told him we were going.
We arrived to a large echoey room with disco lights and an extremely loud disco. DS2 flew out of the room. We got him to agree for us to sit in the separate bar area so we could still be part of the celebration.0 -
