    Morning All

Well I got back from the caravan last night so I was flying there!
I have no kitchen for 2 weeks! There is dust everywhere, the dining room and conservatory are full of kitchen stuff so can't be used. Help!

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

Good luck with the mouse hunt Kaz.

Dailies done, and after a bit of a change round in the rooms here, we've set up a TV in the bedroom. Not sure how I feel about that.

Knitting next and then I'll be really nice and cook DH breakfast.

    Morning

Thank you for your support and advice. I am truly grateful to you all xx

Happy birthday to Pixie for yesterday xx

I have an appointment at the hairdresser's at 12. Must be the day for a haircut Badcat :) As the hairdresser is opposite the chippy I suspect I will fall out one door and in to the other to buy my lunch - unless there is a queue... in which case I will come home and make myself a cheese and crisp sandwich :D

I'm home alone - DS and GF are in London for the weekend - I'll get dressed, then make a start on the dailies.

    Batten down the hatches, ladies.

Woke up twenty minutes or so ago to beautiful blue skies. It's now grey and very windy. Back in bed with a :coffee: and a book.

Today I plan to clean LR (not an onerous task) and decide where I am going to put the YS orchid I picked up in Mr A. For 40p. This will be my third.

Might put it in the bathroom...

I should have gone into town yesterday but decided to give it a miss, which was a good decision as the rain was torrential. What I did do was buy a new pop up thing for the washbasin and, by swapping that over for the old one, and careful trimming of the washer, I now have a pop up plug which pops up when first pressed and not an hour later. Was pleasantly surprised by how clean trap and drain were.

  • Valli - our orchid lives in the bathroom - gets a steam from the shower and the occasional 'flick' of water when washing hands. It's survived for about 6 years now.

    Thanks for that wishing.

I have two in the hallway (light filtered by patterned glass so they're in good lighting for them) and they're doing well but no room for more on the table.

    I apparently need fertiliser...

And one of them is going to need repotting...

I feel an obsession coming on!

    Good morning all
Very windy here - the perils of living on top of the hills.
I ended up being more productive yesterday afternoon that I have been for probably the last month. I scrubbed, swept, dusted and shone the bathrooms, our bedroom, hall, landing and stairs. I ran the vacuum through the kitchen and utility room but by then it was a half hearted attempt. Still, at least somewhere was clean for all of 10 minutes.
This morning the wm is just finishing and I am tackling the latest ironing pile. I have to taxi for DD and , depending on the state of the roads / weather, I might venture to get a birthday present for a friend while I am waiting for her. I have to do some prep for tomorrow’s lunch as DH’s family are threatening to arrive “early”......
Have a lovely day all, and stay safe. X

Wm is on. DD has spent the last 2 days trying to sort out DS's bedroom (he was at the caravan with me) - DH told her to put all the clothes on the floor in the wash! There are no clothes in his drawers - they were all on his floor!

I am just sorting out my ironing pile - I am not going to iron anything - just put everything away in bedrooms and it can just be ironed as needed as that will make a little more space in the conservatory to put the last bits out of the kitchen into. That will be my next job when I've finished this.

Caught up with the thread so:
    Happy Birthday piggies!
Hugs Roundtuit - will be thinking about you on Monday.

One knitting project finished, about to put second load of washing on airer. Will wash dog beds next as they're not here.
