Ernie deigned to give me £25 for which I am grateful as this will be yet another spendy month.

I have sorted rubbish and recycling, dropped dogs off at groomer, dusted Lr, phoned dentist and second wash load is in the machine.

I am now on phone to hmrc who have already cut me off once. I think it's going to be worth the wait though as I estimate they owe me nearly £2k.

Also changed bedding and did quick dusting in bedroom.

Well done on the win Jazee, hope you win with HMRC too!

I am taking an early lunch to take the cat back to the vet, I have opened the windows this morning, washed the cat bedding which is now on the line and got another load ready to wash. Morning of paid stuff done, no meetings this afternoon so I should just be able to plod through some stuff and clear a few of the time consuming but mundane tasks. I think it will help the brain frazzle if I can get some things off my list.

After work activities depend on what the vet says in a bit. I would like to go for a walk or a swim just to get out and about so I will aim for that at least. Easy supper already planned so I shall do a little fluttering in between.

Thank you for all the posivibes again. I am being kind to myself as instructed by Auntie Round!

    BC xx

Keep being kind to yourselves everyone.

Since my last post- I am getting £1700 back from hmrc ( this means I'll be able to continue part time for at least another year which has transformed my life), done a quick hoover through and picked up the dogs.

Just having lunch before meeting friends. Might have time to fit in another admin job DH has asked me to do.

I've hung up half a dozen washed items, cleared and wiped the table and put the maggot bin out.

OH took Squeak for her piano lesson and I wibbled about at home.. sent him to shop on the way back for lettuce and milk. I don't think I could stay upright that long.

Of the 3lb I gained in 2 days I lost 1lb in 1 day.. got a bit of bloating going on.

Watercolour pens arrived.. I rather like these.. they are so nice to use! I am not an arty sort but these are smooth and silky. I order some glitter face gel too.. the girlsloved thatat pride and I am still waiting for their hair glitter to arrive.. might chase it up actually.

I think I'm done for the day and spending the entire afternoon on the laptop!

  • Great news Jazee, love it when HMRC give us our money back - just wish they wouldn't take it in the first place:

    Hubby has fixed shower
Hubby has taken kitchen tap off to replace (but hasn't replaced it yet  )

    1xwm done and hung out
    Dw emptied

More stuff to do this afternoon.....

Jazee well done, it is always worth a phone call to HMRC if you think you are owed money, and even better when they agree!!

I feel a bit mean, I count out of my house all the visitors at 9am this morning, helped them into the cars, check they all had seat belts etc on correctly, shut the doors, and waved them off. OH had gone to work, he even commented it was nice to see them all but he was worn out.

I then went and stripped the beds
    WM on
Then headed out to volunteering for the next 3 hours, lunch now eaten, WM swop done, load out on line.

    Next:- (in no particular order)
    Clean toilets
    Sort bedrooms back to normal
    Hoover all up stairs
Make friends with the cat, as he has been camped out on NN front garden, and check with them he has not damanged any plants / offer to replace etc.
    Pack up stuff for loft
Sort out al lthe small toys, burst balloons etc
Clean the kitchen then clean it again, inc floors and bins.
    Hoover down stairs.
Sort out fridge and get stuff left over eaten up.
I am sure there is more but won't bore you with it all.

Vet says cat much improved after the drama this morning. No need to feed by tube any more so that gives me some time back. He still has to be on ‘light duties’ for at least another week so there will be no fighting with the other one... but it looks like the worst has passed... phew.

Have just about finished the afternoon of paid stuff, am definitely going out for a walk and some fresh air once I am done. Will flutter when I come back from that.

    BC xx
  • Plumber, as expected, didn't turn up. Rebooked at 16.58 for Thursday 'PM'.

    Dusted/polished living room surfaces.

Place still tidy. That washing mountain is fast becoming the only remaining job to do.

Work done, had a walk around the reservoir, came home, cleaned en suite and hoovered middle floor. The kitchen was done quite well on the weekend so have deviated from the list today.

Feeling better after my walk, definitely did me good.

Washing loaded for tomorrow. Will have to do cat bedding again as well I expect.

Have a lovely evening all xx
