  • I am home. I can't clean until I've tidied. So tidying it is.
The bathroom isn't too bad, so I'll start there so I get some sense of achievement before tackling the bedrooms and living spaces. Food shop needed too ..

  • Didn't bother leaving the house in the end, but was up fairly early and chucked the lump of sheep into the SC with some sea salt, pink peppercorns, juniper and some branches of my now monstrous rosemary.

Emptied the tray catching some of the leak three times and chucked the water over the windowboxes,

Put misplaced cleaning stuff from under the sink into the cat food cupboard,

Dealt with a pile of books on the side (now put away),

    Mucked out moggies.

Washed up and wiped down so the kitchen was perfect by the time himself emerged.

He then disappeared back upstairs, I got rid of a shredded pillow inside and my ten year old trainers I've been reliant on for any walking (so were well and truly past it), sorted the shoe rack, swept floor and then went to inform him that I'd had enough and he was on vacuuming and floor mopping duty before finishing off lunch.

I went and vegged out on the bed for an hour.

This evening, having done nothing more strenuous than raise a mug of tea repeatedly, I finished off the washing up, put the leftover meat into the fridge and wiped over the countertop. He hadn't actually left any 'mess' at all, it was just stuff that needed doing to get it back to how it was this morning. So it's already tons better than before The Talk.

Idiot Cat is so much happier now he doesn't see what's going on outside after dark - wish I'd done it years ago.

But I am still feeling pretty wiped out by the humira. It's a different kind of tired, like I've got a bit more energy to start with, but then I run down like a clockwork mouse. Hopefully it'll be less of an issue with subsequent doses.

Plumber is allegedly coming tomorrow afternoon. Whether they do anything useful remains to be seen - they can't leave us with no water at all, hopefully.

Tomorrow, there is a bunch of cushions to be washed. I might take them to the launderette with our minging quilt.

Oh, and I still haven't sorted the odd socks or put any of my clothes away.

But I'm running out of diversions and distractions.

Inside of the windows could do with washing, along with a bit of furniture/mirror cleaning, though...
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Totm has just smashed me to the floor. My anaemia is winning today I fear. I wanted to get the kitchen back to clean today but I can barely cope with standing, I just want to wibble to the sofa! My eczema is still having a flare up, my hayfever is running wild and I need it to be next week.. second thoughts.. I need the next 3 weeks done.. wedding next week and holiday the week after. I hate weddings. I hate peopling and social and not being at home.. what the heck do I talk about without children there to detract? I might be having rising anxiety over this.

I just ordered Pixies birthday presents for Friday and some bits to occupy the girls.. I got them some squishies to paint and some tshirts and fabric pens so the girls can squiggle on their own garments.. might keep them quiet for a few hours.

I need to paint my toes nails .. and I need to take Twinkle to minor injuries to get her finger looked at. She banged it on a cupboard a few days ago and it was bruised and swollen .. and it is still bruised and swollen and she is complaining when I wiped it. I'm sure it is just bruised but it may be more so we will get it looked at. She is doing all her usual naughtiness without guarding it or any sign of pain but that doesn't really mean much sometimes.

I'm up to date on laundry if nothing else..

Morning all. Hope you're all ok this morning.

I'm up at stupid o'clock because my phone pinged downstairs and I thought it must be something urgent. Won't make that mistake again.

Just having first cuppa, dogs are fed, next I'll do some paperwork before breakfast. I have an email telling me there's some good news from Ernie. I'll dream a little before logging in and finding its probably £25 rather than a million!

Jobs for today include taking dogs to groomers, phoning dentist and Hmrc , dusting Lr, maybe cleaning inside of car, change bedding and hoover through. I also have my Monday meet up with friends. We're off to the cinema.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Welcome back YL.
It’s the dreaded first day back at work today. I’ve done HHI already and some sort of meal plan. I’ve also written a list of jobs that just have to get done this week in addition to any flying.
    Have a lovely day all.
  • Morning all,

YL welcome back :j I have really missed you lovey xx
Piggers - your post really resonated with me. I actually read it about 1am this morning when I awoke having a full blown panic attack :( I too am not very peoply, and getting less so as time passes. I am fine at work, and if out and about with the kids, but alone ...

Got up and took two of my 'magic tablets' to calm the panic attack. I think I fell back asleep about 3am.

Forced myself in the shower as soon as I got up, and have a list as long as my arm to get through today. It's bin day tomorrow so I have already started a bin bag dance, and have a small pile of stuff to go to the CS.

    Have lovely days all xx

    Morning all

Late in for me this morning, another cat drama to deal with!

I have started paid stuff but am waiting for the vet to open so that I can ring them to see if they can fit him in today. I have quite a list to get through too but it is going to have to wait unless it is very urgent. With work and cat stuff my brain is feeling a bit frazzled. Pathetic really, as I know so many others have MUCH more to deal with... anyway, I shall just do what I feel able to and the rest can wait until a bit more normality returns.

Have a lovely day all, I am just having s cup of tea and trying to restore s little bit of sanity to get through the day!

Another one here who's had a bad night. I went to bed early because I ached all over; DH rolled over at about 2.30 and half woke me; Rosie finished off the job by putting her feet up on the bed and nuzzling me in the back; DH then kept me awake with his CPAP machine (when the mask slips he is too fast asleep to bother to put it back on properly, so it hisses at different pitches and wakes me up but not him :() so at 3.00 I gave up and went downstairs and caught up with TV programmes until I finally went back to sleep after 5.00, on the sofa. I have just had a cuppa and feel a bit more human now.

Welcome back YL and other returnees
    Posivibes for BadCat's moggy.

My personal list for today only has 2 items on it:
    - do at least Level 1 in the kitchen
    - finish off everything that was on my weekend list
Should be doable if I don't get distracted further by the family history - my black sheep has been up to his tricks again and I've found him out:D

Hope everyone has a good day, especially those who have to go back to work xx

    Morning

I didn't sleep well either! Lay awake for ages in the early hours - no obvious reason. It happens sometimes - and it's amazing how often you then find other people saying they had a bad night too. We must all be kind to ourselves today - Auntie Roundtuit says so :D

Before getting up I decided my goal for today was to rinse and recycle all the cans on the kitchen worktop (again :o) - that's easy to do and makes a big difference. Then another voice piped up with 'well you could bag up all DS's cs clothes', then another voice chimes in ' you ought to wash some pots', then there is a clamour 'washing', 'bathroom', 'clutter', 'vacuum', 'dust', 'windows' :(:(:( AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH Stoppit already. Shurrup!

I am going to eat breakfast, have a shower and wash my hair, get dressed, and. hopefully, calm down.

Healing vibes to all fur babies xx and to tired flyladys xx

    Thank you Round x

    My achievements so far:
    - Windows thrown open wide
    - Breakfast eaten
    - Level 1 kitchen achieved :D
    - Showered and dressed
    - WMx1 of 2 started

Beautiful day here, so DH and I have decided to go out for lunch and take Rosie for her walk afterwards (DH will sit and drink more :coffee: while i walk through the woods with Rosie). That will spur me on for the rest of this morning ;)

Hope that Ernie has come up trumps for you, Jazee!
