Isn't Phoenix just a trading platform to sell shares from your SCnnnnnn accounts?
  • Well I have been trying to create a Phoenix account for the last few hours and it just times-out. Have tried ringing both the 8010 number (just drops the line) nd the 8001 number goes on forever without being answered. Have logged a query ticket (probably a waste of effort). On that screen, they show a Whatsapp number which is 020 7562 8001 (as above) - Not a mobile number so not a nuber for Whatsapp. So typical of the inaccuracy of their site and its complete inattention to detail. It would be easier to get vetted for SIS than set up an account with ITI. Oh, the clocks on their system are some other timezone as well.

Phoenix IS just a trading platform.  You can Create a Phoenix account ( with yet another user number and a new password) providing you have an account which is marked " on boarding approved".

Once the Phoenix account is created using the " create Phoenix account" option ,  they send an email with the new user name ( ITITI xxxxx and a temporary password.).  The email contains a link to the Phoenix login screen. Logon , give a few more details and change the temporary password.

As I mentioned earlier,  ITI then need to approve the Phoenix account.....48 hours they reckon  ( yeah! ).

Huh!  Just had an email reply from ITI regarding trading using Phoenix
"Regarding the Phoenix account guidelines, please find attached some documentation on how to use the platform. Alternatively, you may choose to use the web trader platform (accessed through your web browser) which is a simplified version of the Phoenix platform."

    What web trader platform?

I was also sent a dozen or so pdf files...none of them are actually helpfully!
  • My Phoenix account, set up noon on Friday, is still sitting at "Pending Approval"......
I have no faith that getting access will mean I can actually trade as per the experience of others.
Request to transfer all trading account shares is in the post (away from ITI).
Request for partial ISA transfer will be in the post tonight (away from ITI)..... why do I get a sinking feeling about a partial transfer not being executed correctly?
