Thanks for the vibes for my fur baby, signs of improvement are showing and I will go later to the vet to visit him and discuss next steps x
Bathroom painting is finished! Yay! Room needs a good scrub later when it is fully dry, then I can put stuff back in there.
At paid stuff now but taking a sneaky break to update my flylady friends. I will have a list to tackle after work and quite a bit of catching up to do.

Feeling slightly more positive about things so hopefully that positivity will translate into me getting on with stuff later on!

    In my HHC I:
    set the timer
emptied dirty pots and minging water from bowl
    scrubbed bowl
refilled bowl with hot soapy water and dirty pots
    let pots soak (while I:
    folded clean clothes from airer
    put away airer
    tidied away shoes)
    WUDUPA one bowl of pots
    reloaded bowl with pots
rinsed 2 plastic bottles for recycling
    rinsed 4 cans for recycling

more to rinse, but timer beeped and I'm hot so I stopped.

Thank you jue xx How did you do?

Text received from counsellor asking me to access her calendar and block book my five sessions.

So I'll [STRIKE]try to[/STRIKE] do that whilst I'm sat here dripping. Then I'll check the weather forecast to see if I should peg out washing or not. It's dry here but keeps clouding over and I am not in the mood for the washing okie kokie!

I've emptied my tins' cupboard into a box apart from the ones I thought I might use over the next couple of weeks. The kitchen fitter turned up in the middle to tell me I've picked the most expensive kitchen and to ask me if I was sure that was the one I wanted! Tried to ring DH to tell him the price but not got hold of him yet.

So you did a lot better than me Roundtuit! x

    Tisn't a competition :D (Thank goodness )

Well I THINK I've booked my five sessions with the counsellor :rotfl: I couldn't use the link she provided as I don't have a smartphone and the link didn't work when typed in to my laptop. But I found a way of accessing her calendar and, like I said, I think I've booked five sessions.... starting 23rd August . (I've made evening appointments as I hope I'll be back at work by then!!)

Why is nothing straightforward any more? :o

Forecast says rain all afternoon so I'm dragging the airer back out to drape washing over it. I can always stand it outside until the rain comes :)

Nearly lunch time - crispbread with smoked cheese methinks.

    Back later

So I've hoovered the hall and dining room, TV unit has been collected, money for kitchen organised and now I've sort of come to a standstill although I haven't really got time to.

  • Haven't been on the thread in forever, will kick back in soon as we have just moved house, however in dire need of some tips...

We have a cupboard you access from the living room that goes under the stairs, which is carpeted and absolutely STINKS of weed.

I have been daily putting carpet deodoriser/cleaner down on it, and opening the cupboard door and back door to allow it to air out, but it seems as soon as we close the door overnight and during the day the next day, by the time we open it again it stinks again!

There's definitely nothing left in there, but I don't know what else to try as we can't have the cupboard door and back door open 24/7 and don't really want to be doing that on the days we have the kids around, but really want to make use of the storage space :(!

You ladies are fab with tips, so fingers crossed xxx

PS all my attempts to google are full of sites from people who smoke it trying to hide the smell, not quite what I need :rotfl:

SSDD23 the smell is likely to be in the carpet and walls, can you rip up the carpet and take it to the tip? then paint the walls?
