Bit late to the party but just opened one for me and other half and it was the easiest account I have ever opened - and there have been lots. Tried couple of in and outs and worked fine.0

On Friday evening they were saying they would be working on the site over the weekend, and delays might be experienced.milton1970 said:QQ - made a transfer to Marcus account this morning but still not appeared in the account (it has left my other account !) ... what’s the usual time lapse on transfers in at weekends?Had no timing issue previously?

You can still make deposits without your login ID/grid card.kev2009 said:Hi all,
If i opened a Marcus account, do they need any forms to fill in or verify anything by post or receive anything via post before I am up and running? or is it just setup in a few minutes and ready to go?
I recently opened a Coventry RS and it was all setup online BUT i needed to wait for the login ID & grid card before i could access the account, they didn't need any ID verification so i presume whatever checks they did, it was all ok.
Thanks

It’s generally a bad idea to deposit money into accounts that you don’t have full access to.george4064 said:You can still make deposits without your login ID/grid card.0 -
I don’t disagree with you, whilst I would do/did this with Coventry BS I probably would be more cautious with a relative unknown bank.colsten said:

Yes, agreed - I didn't want to transfer money to an account I didn't have access to so I could verify the funds arrived in the account.
Still looking at accounts but thinking will open a Marcus later this month when the interest rate drops on my 123 account.
Thanks
