Given you can reapply the bonus at the click of a button this seems unlikelyone can't help wondering if it's a deliberate thing to stop people closing their account after a year when the bonus disappears..............

I have had good service so far. However, when I closed the account, they said that I wouldn't be able to open another account later as the system would recognise that I'd applied before and thus reject my application. The Marcus guy seemed to imply that was a "system" thing that would one day get "resolved" but one can't help wondering if it's a deliberate thing to stop people closing their account after a year when the bonus disappears..............
Leave minimum deposit rather than close the account if you intend to return at some stage.0 -

I actually got a letter in the post (!!!) today from them thanking me for being a customer and reminding me to login regularly (I've been a customer since May), took the opportunity to renew my bonus when I logged in.0

. To be fair, everything else is working really nicely, and renewing the bonus is easy enough if you know that you can do that. 0 -
I opened a new account with Marcus and it was easy and quick to do but when I was about to transfer some money in, I noticed that the account Name was not Marcus or Goldman Sachs but Rothschild, hence I did not transfer the money. I spoke to customer service at Marcus and they could not explain this!
Question, can anyone explain why a bank owned by the Goldman Sachs group has an account that refers to Rothschild??
