Given you can reapply the bonus at the click of a button this seems unlikely

Leave minimum deposit rather than close the account if you intend to return at some stage.

I have accounts with most of the major UK retail banks, and they're all significantly faster than Marcus.

I actually got a letter in the post (!!!) today from them thanking me for being a customer and reminding me to login regularly (I've been a customer since May), took the opportunity to renew my bonus when I logged in.

Interestingly, the letter doesn't tell us that we can renew the bonus.

So much for really good customer service . To be fair, everything else is working really nicely, and renewing the bonus is easy enough if you know that you can do that.

I opened a new account with Marcus and it was easy and quick to do but when I was about to transfer some money in, I noticed that the account Name was not Marcus or Goldman Sachs but Rothschild, hence I did not transfer the money. I spoke to customer service at Marcus and they could not explain this!

Question, can anyone explain why a bank owned by the Goldman Sachs group has an account that refers to Rothschild??
