Happy Birthday. Hope you can enjoy a more relaxed time going forward. Sounds like you have everything so well organised0

Happy Birthday!
I didn't think Jeremy would win but thought it would be closer and not such a big majority0 -
I wasn't surprised at who won, but was surprised at the majority.
I lean towards voting Tory and I did so this time too, but I think Labour missed an opportunity this time round. If they'd had a stronger Brexit policy and had had a more popular leader, I think the outcome could have been very different. I would have been open to a change and I'm not overly impressed by BJ, but too many unknowns and woolly promises to make me vote red. Maybe next time?DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

I agree with you, and i also did the same, although i have always been a life long labour voter, this time i just could not do it, no firm brexit plan and wishy washy ideals. I didnt trust what they were saying could materialise without bankrupting the country. After all, we cannot spend what we dont have? Very MSE ey?? :rotfl:My debt free journey, diary and all! Happy belated birthday, I hope you had a great time.
Hope things settle down with your baby brother.
Have a great day x0 -
So all on track budget wise.
However, i feel really uneasy again. Im so used to throwing everything at debts and to know ive done nothing this pay day is really frustrating, even more so knowing that ive got £700 sat there, urggggghhh.
One poll is £2 off cashing out and im 100 points away from £10 on shoppix. Both of these will go in the saving pot too. Im really hoping I can scrape by the next couple of months without using the £700 and just clear them off my debts. However, i do know that its good to have an EF and really i should try and write that money off as savings, and start fresh debt busting in Feb.
I have to say though i feel so good about xmas. All brought and under budget, wrapped and ready to go, with no adding to the debt. So no additional stress come January when the credit card bill comes in. I bet this forum is going to get super busy in January when everyone realises they have gone over the top and not budgeted throughout the year, that would of been me last year, although to be fair i was so blase about being in debt i didnt really care back then, awful i know!
Debt Currently - £1636.67 (debt rise of £255.97 ((car insurance))
Savings - £707.05My debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0 -
You've not done nothing this payday, you've future-proofed your finances for the next couple of months ready for the transition from old job to new. It may not have reduced the debt but don't underestimate the good it is doing.
I got sick of OnePoll. I got to about £20 then I kept getting screened out at the end of surveys. Why make someone do the whole survey then screen them out because they live in Scotland or because they're in the 35-45 age bracket? Would it not be better doing the screening at the beginning to save wasting their time? Grrrr. Not fair.
You've done great with the whole Christmas thing. Look how far you've come! The forums are usually busy come mid-January with everyone starting new challenges and trying to pay back the overspend, as you say. I've overspent but I've only borrowed from myself.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
Mortgage today = £161,690.76
300 271 payments to go.House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000

you have done something, you have opted for a job which will provide better finances so that you can finish your debt and start saving for the furture, all you've done this month is pressed pause.............once you get the new pay in and realise you've survived imagine how good it will feel making an overpayment then ........
keep on with the good decisions and enjoy the festivies!0 -

You are so right!
You know what, i havnt had that problem with one poll. I have had a couple of screening out but it was right at the start. I also find their surveys really short compared to the others which is great for my attention span lol. However, my only issue is there just isnt enough of them, its taken me since July to get to this point lol :rotfl:My debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0
